in einer limitierten neuauflage gibt es dieses gesuchte album von 1982 noch einmal zum erschwinglichen preis. aufgenommen im channel one studio mit der roots radics band, und im king tubby’s studio abgemischt, entstand hier vielleicht das beste dubalbum von prince jammy der frühen 80er. für das artwork war tony mcdermott verantwortlich, der u.a. die cover für die legendären scientist-alben kreierte.

after releasing space control an intergalactic journey into synthesizers, back in 2012, the theremynt duo went on to release a successful, if steady, stream of eps, including robotique de l amou r and vampiros discos (a tribute to brazilian filmmaker ze do caixao). with remixes coming from the likes of david carretta, acid washed and club bizarre, these were playlisted by scene djs such as marvin & guy and ivan smagghe, amongst others. now yann and eva are striking back with their second lp, parallels. it s a record that sees them changing their colour palette and mood, but one that s still haunted by ghosts that lurk within their synthesizers and drum machines. the 10 tracks still exhibit peel s ever shifting vocal style and yann s sophisticated arrangements. but the second lp oscillates between ballad and dancefloor, landing between cosmic disco influences, krautrock and other progressive techno sounds. as a bonus, the album also features a cover of famous 80 s anthem self control. tx connects gavin guthrie is a horror soundtrack enthusiast and regularly djs gigs with that premise. so its no surprise that hed produce an ep that implements these themes.the t.r.u. halloween ep is a special edition ep that collects and compiles 5 tracks from gavins inner circle that range from 80s era horror soundtrack chase scene music to dark techno. with the recent surgence of survive and stranger things, this ep fits right in the pocket and is slated for a halloween 2016 release.

electri city was created in 1980 in bundt’s own studio. using a ppg synthesizer and a teac four-track tape recorder, he anticipated the home recording trend. he worked on the mixes with a revox tape machine, cutting and splicing by hand. whereas he had enlisted guest musicians on the predecessor neon, this time around he did everything himself, except for two tracks which featured keyboarder steve robison (reiner geyer) who had played with bundt in the krautrock band nine days’ wonder.
