>facing forwards< and >who can say?< is the second single to be taken from talis hotly anticipated forthcoming second album >dark days, high nights< which features collaborations with benny page, dirtyphonics, shimon, skism, ed rush, atlantic connection, and lynx to name but a few. the album is released on shimons much hyped new label audio porn, which after little over 10 releases, has become one of the most talked about labels in drum and bass, dubstep and beyond with releases from the likes of camo and krooked, dirtyphonics, xilent, shimon, ram trilogy and of course tali herself.
shimons audio porn takes a side step for its 11th release. dropping the vocal dubstep bomb that is >dark days< by ed rush and tali. flip it over and tali teams up with dirtyphonics for some more down tempo beats. both riddims rock, you would expect nothing less from the man behind virus and one of the most exciting dnb acts to appear in the last few years.
here is the debut release by italian duo r a d k o... their music is a blending of post/cold wave and shoegaze elements... both the songs and the production have a typical nostalgic feeling but are rather modern at the same time... instead of being overtly dark the sound and overall mood is much more melancholy and dreamy... for sure these two tracks make up for an impressive debut and addictive little 7″,,, record.
dos attack are two childhood friends come djs and producers from madrid who ve have managed to create their own little space in the electronic music landscape. the masterminds behind cult label riverette, with releases by such exciting and forward-thinking artists as legowelt, oskar offermann, kornel kovacs, and minor science, the two are insatiable diggers to a point that they opened their own record store in the center of their hometown, named after the label. both as djs and producers, their creations are a reflection of their collection and taste – sometimes trance-y, sometimes hyperactive, always weird and wonderful, mixing the energy of late 70s new york with the good vibes of 90s rom-coms – pure love.

the beacon crowns ashurst hill in dalton, lancashire, looming over the verdant english countryside nearly six hundred feet above sea level. this spartan brick monolith was erected in 1798 as a watch tower to warn of french invasion during the napoleonic war — & there it silently remains, keeping infinite vigil. it stands in tess roby’s mind. the beacon calls to her. “throughout my life i have felt the pull to return to it,” she says. “i’m beckoned by father’s roots & by the sullen landscape of fields leading to the coast.”

after bursting onto the scene in late 2017, hyperloop makes his drumcode debut with green velvet in toe. followers of truesoul will be clued up on the quality one can expect from hyperloop. last october he marked the label s 100th with in the loop , a superb three-tracker that signalled his arrival on the scene and highlighted a stunning year for the label. as 2018 picks up pace, hyperloop returns with a tougher follow up for drumcode. his mentalizm ep is a classy example of his versatility, a trio of original works, accompanied by two dj tools. beginning on a menacing tip, in your mind (reflections) is a low-end brew of industrial stabs, eerie melodies and subterranean vocals. ‘s-sound is his collaboration with chicago legend green velvet and is a percussive masterstroke of loops and drum riffs which drive the eight-minute track with all the puffing ferocity of a steam train. spring on the battlefield is the perfect contrasting accompaniment, as a warm rush of strings covers a bed of intricate analogue effects and stomping kicks.
from northern italy, the maestro beppe loda is continuing his beppe loda cuts series with his newest edit release. obscure disco rock explores rare tracks that blur the line between disco and rock from 70 s and 80 s italy.
