local talk is proud to present the first release on their sub-label 1nce again. this is where we bring back classic and forgotten house gems from back in the day with new mixes and reworks. for our first release we have gone back to 97 and a producer known and respected worldwide in the house music community with more than 200 production credits under his belt. joshua michaels aka joshua iz perhaps best known for his collabs with dwayne washington as iz & diz but has of course used many other pseudonyms over the years for releases on labels like prescription, balance, classic, junior boys own, om and guidance. the return was first released on heard, sub-label to tom middletons evolution / universal language productions ltd. using his moniker circulation. the track can easily be described as a mammoth house track, clocking in just over 12 minutes. its one of those pieces of music thatís stood the test of time and why iz has been a major force in electronic music for so many years. on the flip much hyped duo prommer & barck stripped it down from its original costume leaving not much left of the source material resulting in something that we best could describe as old school warehouse meets uk bass. its pretty raw and definitely a basement sureshot!
taking the next level, the infectious grooves and fiercely beauteousness of the highly acclaimed prommer& barck album >alex& the grizzly< are mesmerized here any further. kink , san soda and norman& jerome sydenham captivating the journey into the variety of idiosyncratic house music.

what a journey! well, these guys have been around for a while- they have gone through: rave, jazz, krautrock, garage, detroit, house, hip-hop, disco, folk, dubstep, electronica, funk, punk, wave, chicago house, handmade music and soul. all those nights at clubs, the records, the shelves, the dirt in the second-hand record shops, the stacked audio- and studio magazines in their toilets or elsewhere in the house, the hours spent making their own radio-shows, hundreds of hotels checked in and out of, dozens of sound-checks done. last but not least, the revivals, the subgenres, the fusion - well these peeps have given real influential input into some of these (sub)genres in the past. >lovin< is the second single release of the upcoming >alex and the grizzly< album which is due out in april 2011. alex barck is on the vocals together with lois longerling, who is known for her work with dollkraut. andre lodemann delivers a smart remix giving the tune his trade-mark sound and putting onto the house-dancefloors. prommer and barck are on tour with their own live show.
super limited 12 inch in screen printed sleeve with bing ji ling and barck+prommer remixes ... limited to just 300 copies, pressed on delicious 180 gram vinyl and presented in a silk-screen printed sleeve, >make you mine< is quite the 12 inch to get your hands on this autumn! the opening track of incarnations forthcoming debut album >with all due respect< is a sundrenched balearic bomb if ever there was one. handsome threesome daniel collas, quinn luke (akabing ji ling) and bart davenport soaked up all the good vibes of the tarifa studio on the south-coast of spain, just in front of africa, where the mediterranean sea and the atlantic ocean meet, and transformed them into little over three-and-a-half minutes of pure loving goodness, reminiscent of the 70s west coast sounds among many other things. on remix duties we have christian prommer and alex >jazzanova< barck taking the track into the late night territory with an epic deep-house stormer, while bing ji ling makes those lazy sofa surfers get up and boogie while the sun is setting with a strong ny flavour.
AEROBICS IN SPACE (GREEN MARBLED / SERATO CONTROL)
coloured 12" Vinyl UK15.06.11
the adventurous, forward-thinking sound of >aerobics in space< was the perfect fit for the flip side of this serato pressings. international tastemaker gilles peterson said on his bbc radio 1 show that the song >reminds me of jean luc pontys in the fast lane. it was a kind of a crazy, ahead-of-its-time tune, and this track is all over that vibe. i m loving it!<
pommer & barck have each been rocking the dance music scene for over a decade. their recent collaboration has set dancefloors around the world ablaze, and this new remix promises to throw more fuel on the fire.
jamie lloyds sophomore album gets remixed by some of our favourite newcomers and older legends. tuff city kids are gerd janson from running back and phillip lauer from arto mwambe and brontosaurus. as expected these two come up with something unexpected, think bobby orlando.
