released on defected, no doubt is exemplary of south africas cueburs ability to construct the organic and cheerful sounds prominent within the flourishing south african house scene. throughout the track is a blend of raw sounding percussion that when combined with marrisa guzmans delicate yet captivating voice results in a warm and leisurely anthem. on remix duties is the prestigious shlomi aber whose rendition still utilises guzmans mesmerising vocals whilst making use of his signature techno elements to create a more innovative twist.
we celebrate the first release of emma music and the debut of emmas face leave. no doubt is a nu-disco influenced bomb that create a summerish atmosphere. get physicals lopazz tells a modern interpretation of this wonderful track
kicking off 2008 with something fresh and new from a brand new signing to the label. first up this year on re:connect is a full on vocal led breaks monster from the genius pairing of australians karl sav and nikita. the original version is up first, a full-vocal affair with crisp but meaty beats, a tasty buzzing bassline, and searing synth lines. remaining a little more laid back to start with, this one builds and builds throughout and is certainly one to get the ladies moving on the dancefloor. on the flipside comes a stomping 4×4 remix from fellow australian dopamine who strips back the vocal to its main elements, adds a pounding beat and twisting bassline to great effect. this ones for all you crossover breaks/house fans out there!

following a standout appearance on dvs1’s mistress label with his “just pain” track, the man from minneapolis, doubt, returns to don’t be afraid for the first time since 2014’s “poor dog” ep. in the interim he has continued to record on disposable commodities under the doubt moniker, whilst also exploring experimental and ambient sound under the name time heals nothing.
for his most inclusive outing to date, doubt mines the outer limits of minimal house music whilst still maintaining the vibe of alienation and melancholy that characterises his work. the mood of “april” is euphoric and carefree but dig deeper and the fragile beauty also suggests an impending and ominous apocalypse. “what is happening” and “samusex” counterbalance the a-side’s brief suggestion of joy with a mood closer to doubt’s previous work. the title track meanwhile recalls the work of labels like ifach and trelik with a swinging, stripped down dub sound.
the third time is definitely a charm. dokutoku three is here headed up by doubtingthomas delivering a two track ep with seriously smooth jazz inspired atmospheres. the release is topped off by a raw grooving remix of ‘tandem’ by fellow frenchman alexkid.
granny13 opens with nicola ratti’s “odd doubt”. with the use of a modular system and tape loops, a broken rhythm is obtained by parallelism between single sound signals as lfo one or processed tapes.
on the second side, giovanni lami’s “johnny leech” is made with a small bunch of equipment, just a chaotic hand-made synth (cacophonator) and a memoryman, working mainly on static electricity and leakage current in the synth used without any kind of power supply.
12 inch(180g) with color jacket. spiral deluxe is a band led by jeff mills. initially formed for the performances in japan (tokyo/kobe) and released kobe sessions ep (ax070) last year, they gathered again in october 2016 for european tour, when they named themselves as spiral deluxe. the upcoming record is live recordings from that tour and will be our 2nd series of axis audiophile series with hd sound.

doubtingthomas has recently got a lot of love, and his new two-tracker on mayak shows why. * telegraph* delivers dance rhythms with the speed of light. on the other side - hypnotic groove of * taking control* comes through the bones and makes your skin go goosebump.
dance like nobody s watching is the name of luvdancin s 5th release and also the motto of the label. 4 strong house tracks from 4 different artists, each of them with their own sound, but with one main goal in common: keeping your feet moving until the early hours. vinyl only as usual!.
we are very proud to present a doubtingthomas vinyl release on metroline limited! capharnauem is a very trippy affair across 3 tracks, 2 originals from aurelien and a remix from the uber talented romanian producer from arpiar fame, cristi cons. off the grid, the opener, stays within the grid until 3/4 of its lenght. a tight kick leads the way with the help of a pulsating bass and some lush pads in typical doubtingthomas style. the off moment happens after the mid way point when the free jazz element comes in and shuffles the groove off the grid!
doubt makes his dba debut with four stepping left-of-centre techno jams, fresh from turning heads with a pair of trippy, forward-thinking releases for dvs1s mistress imprint. a veteran of the midwest electronic underground, doubt is the new alias of a minneapolis artist who has earned a reputation among aficionados of electronic music as one of the most inspired, engaging, and entertaining artists of his time. a true musicians musician, he routinely reaches for unconventional elements and seamlessly blends disparate styles to create completely unique sonic experiences, which hit all of the right buttons.
phiorios animals release has been a labour of love. after co-running metroline limited for the past 6 years and after a series of digital releases and remixes for both metroline and retrometro (as well as letroom limited and mbf amongst others), phiorios vinyl debut on ml finally sees the light of day. the choice of remixers has also been laborious but over at metroline hq we are really happy that in the end we managed to secure two stunning reworks by the likes of the more and more in demand french producer doubtingthomas (with releases on labels such as hummingbird, organic and of course, metroline limited) and the super-hot up and coming russian producers adjustment bureau
(lakker / stanislav tolkachev rmx). industrial rooted techno! limited to 300 copies worldwide, each individually hand-stamped dymo titling and numbered. 180gr heavy-weight vinyl!early support from surgeon
this masterpiece was produced by st. petersburg based musician alexey nikitin aka nocow for the siberian label gimme5. the lp version will be released as coloured vinyl by fauxpas musik. this picture-perfect album with twelve tracks holds a special vision of perfection. rumbling beats just as burial, the melodies, dubs and sounds though seem to evolve a life of its own and in the end you are overwhelmed by the dimensions of these tracks. vinyl tastes better.
following on the outstanding slz single -slow down & dance-, organic-music returns with the very fresh -aku mencintaimu- ep from doubtingthomas, the ep kicks off with the excelent -the long way round- a fusion of precise electronica and slow jazz, pure beauty !!! in a different strong and distinct mood, -koosh- with it s dinamic driving beats and beautifull hidden melody, the third piece -too much information- takes you in a vibe that resembles diving into the deep where you lose sense of time. together with its prolonged sounds that grow on you subtly, it is very danceable although very abstract and liquid piece. its just too good!! to complete the ep, koljah takes on -the long way round- and deliver a superb dinamic and melodic remix.brilliant piece of athmospheric house music that builds a solid groove that has you locked in from start to finish
ltd 2012 repress !! arguably the most popular track on 2562s stunning >fever< album, >aquatic family affair<, was only available on its cd version and a highly limited 10 inch lp sampler. due to overwhelming demand for the track on wax here it is again in full glory, extended and re-cut. half reissue, half remix 12 inch, the flip has the mighty head high aka shed giving his favourite albumtrack >wasteland< the powerhouse™ remix treatment, slow-building and boombastic as only he can. killer.
a year and a half in the making – well, spiritually at least – the air jordan ep soundtracks a 2010 roadtrip through a captivating country, just before the instant rush that became last years fever album and subsequent when in doubt label launch. based on field recordings taken in various bustling city centres, rugged desert landscapes, peaceful cornfields, lively amphitheatres, abandoned villages and ancient temples, the ep’s four tracks capture glimpses of jordans stark and desolated scenery as well as its warm and vivid spirit, channelled and reinterpreted through a simple recording device and a sampler. we hope you enjoy the results as much as we enjoyed travelling.
