:-crimini- is a new independent label born from the experience of some members of the mighty kitchentstudio3, based in bologna italy. the first release contains on the first side three track by nas1 duo. the young duo work at the kitchenstudio3 since 2011, where they produced a lot of good stuff, including a track featuring kyle hall (released by wild oats music), their debut ep on bosconi records, two tracks released by nick anthony simoncino s hotmix records, and many other cool works. on the other side there is a power track, spinning at 45 tmp, produced by the mysterious grienkho, appeared on pushmaster records and austerity, and kosmik, legendary record collector from south of italy.

after introducing ir with his bombshell ep 808 horizon , limikola returns with a massive release from lado including a great remix from sci+tec s xordo. both guys are new to the imprint and show, why they have been signed - quality music.

first gimme! gimme! release featuring can t live without your love by tamiko jones and the super rare cosmic classic this man by phill & friends band. “can’t live without your love” was popularised by david mancuso s loft cd/lp. originally released in 1979, it’s considered a huge influence as an electronic-disco record and is a massive chicago favourite. this record has been heavily sought after for some time and played by larry levan, ron hardy, gene hunt, frankie knuckles, …… „this man“ was a huge track with dj baldelli at cosmic when it was released in 1980 and it has been top of many collectors wants lists for a long time. very rare and very expensive, this sleazy downtempo rock/dub disco cut really is one of those extraordinary once heard never forgotten tracks.

the cocoon of the japanese silkworm is greenish, has an elongated oval shape, and after 8 days, it turns into a bewitching butterfly. highly-active alexander gerlach comes up with nicone, three silky tracks released on kickboxer.
>omikoshi< is the result of a cooperation with japanese dj and producer tazaka while touring through japan. a unique blend of berlin techno grooves and japanese tradition, a gorgeous butterfly whose full, up-liftingmetamorphosis finally takes place on the dance-floor. already tested and approved by well-known djs, we have added an golden icing on the cake with a mix by philip bader.

ruede hagelsteins the modest theme has proven to be one of souvenirs most provocative releases so far. released in the summer, the tracks dramatic horn hook is so epic it belongs in a science fiction film and as a piece of forward thinking techno, it ranks among one of souvenirs best. now the track is back with a remix from souvenir spearheads tiefschwarz alongside a new track from berlin based ruede. semikolon is another dark and dubby deep tech-housy outing for ruede that begins with a dramatic spoken word by naneci and ominous organ stabs. as the track progresses it takes on a chicago house vibe re-imagined at 10am in the panorama bar. an urgent bell begins to ring through the track raising the tension as the vocal intones a surreal chant before giving way to huge synth stabs that lead the track into a slow motion emotional explosion. just when things can get any more hectic the crescendo sinks to silence compressing the energy before the beats emerge back in their earlier deep house guise. ali and bast schwarz take their turn at remixing the modest theme fresh from their incendiary remix of emad kamandians kamanche for souvenir 012. the signature dramatic horn riff remains albeit injected with new percussion lending the track a tough tech house appeal that places it within the context of 2008s underground house sound. both tracks are another addition to souvenirs impressive collection of music aimed at the head just as much as they are at the heart and feet.
