hugo capablanca may be best known for his more disco-minded output from his time on gomma records, but increasingly his scattered output and his label have been reaching towards more abrasive material. nothing will prepare you for the confrontational nature of this daring, no label transmission. the artwork alone is enough to challenge the senses, while the opening track is a metallic drone that gives way to the distended mutant beats of top less. guy debord is no less cut throat in delivering a disco punish remix of lap dance on the b side, all deconstructed groove and guttural noise, and then dance less rounds the record off with another excursion into unsettling, heavily processed noise.
more than less, started from seoul, south korea, came back with 4th vinyl release “folka ep”, composed by joton, owner of newrhythmic records, based in north spain, leon. he is also part of more than less records, releasing “fragment ep” with soolee remixes in 2014. it had great success and been supported by many producers like surgeon, pacou, dvs1, invite, lakker, paul mac, samuli kemppi, unam zetineb, jeroen search and many more. “folka ep” has two new tracks, called “frontier” and “sendice”. these two tracks are remixed by japanese techno hero, dj nobu, and korean techno pioneer, soolee, again. the “folka ep” represents the conjunction of asianeuropean techno, which more than less has been pursuing. “frontier” has pure anlalog synth sounds with addicted melody line, based on rough sound textures. it’s obviously for the peak time of the dance floor. “sendice” has unique grooves which joton’s trademark and adding rhythmic loops gives numerous dance feelings. “frontier”, dj nobu remixed, gives hypnotic raw sounds and exotic feelings. it has subtle rhythmic factor and people can’t help moving their body. another remixer is, more than less records owner, soolee. it is 9 minute track, consisting with full of hypnotic sounds from the first to the end.
seasoned memory athletes will no doubt recall the turbo’s past affiliation with the former soviet union (proxy, tiga tigayevich khristorozhdestvensky), and recent geopolitical developments have prompted the label to once again hedge its bets. our a&r team spent countless hours sifting through layer after layer of russian underground music, a shocking amount of which turned out to be fake soundcloud accounts from producers based in florida. in fact, our best intelligence suggests that dimitri veimar may be the only person making music in russia today. for the 30 minutes a day he is not trading in politically moderate twitter-bot futures, veimar produces dark, raw-dog electro. he has already released music with omnidisc and renate, so it makes little sense to us why we have to communicate with him via a mole in the canadian embassy in moscow, which is further complicated by the fact that the mole is also an aspiring dj/producer whom we have to keep happy at all costs. you have no idea how much has been sacrificed in order to shield you from the realpolitik of international dance music.

greek rhythmrustler chop juggler has dropped his debut album – more is less – to follow up the well-received diggasmic ep on cult classic records. released onthe prolific cold busted label, more is less collects eleven top notchbeat-heavy jams from the young producer, now in his early twenties but involved in music making since the beginning of his teens. his artist name is apt, as chop juggler is adept at taking loops and samples and melding, twisting, and – yes – chopping them into intricate compositions. “amethyst” provides convincingevidence, seemingly disparate sources are cut into sonic snatches, layered andbursting in and out of the mix to any beat-head’s delight. there’s also themore uptempo “night travel” which sounds just like that … if one is travelingby moonlight in a ’70s television crime drama. slower, spacey moments like “money can’t buy time” and “brave new world” showcase chop juggler’s depth, but with his ear for striking samples and tough hip hop beats still in full display. more is less follows through in its title’s statement by never overwhelming, but the album’s satisfying flow will indeed find the listener looking for more from this talented producer.
2014, has been a great start for more than less records rising from seoul, south korea. our past releases are well supported by international underground techno djs and media. now we move into what the more than less sound is. datura dilema brings his talent to our label, his complexity regarding abstract electronica translates in this ep. variation of sound enhancements, elements coming and going from different distances imitating refraction of sound waves, mystical twisted high quality sounds that figure as bright spots.
supported from the black dog, josh wink, claudio prc, paula temple, samuli kemppi and many more.

we are very happy to announce joton for the first album of kickstarting more than less, (aka less n less) the finest underground techno label in south korea. joton is one of great techno producer used to work with many world-renowned producers like ben sims, oscar mulero, pacou, bas mooy, radal and many other. he made some serious tracks and a representative korean techno producer soolee has joined for the remix for joton.
is it purposely ironic that guysfromneighbourhood are releasing on a label thats named after a part of east london thats as gentrified as it is dishevelled? speech less is whats been delivered and its a popping, deeply dubby and smooth production thats made for the dusk of a berlin afternoon thats becoming evening. argentine producer nacho bolognani beefs up the original with something more solidified (youll find yourself dancing to the bassline not the beats), while matt rich delivers more of a reduction than remix. a strong debut release.
