nice price deal !!! some deeper food for thought on big & dirty. its been a while (3 years actually), since we saw new material from berlin based techno legend mijk van dijks alter ego plato. with >ashes of our dreams< mijk returns in his plato disguise and goes into a deep progressive mode. with lovely vocals from jette von roth.

parisian von grall contributes a new records four track counting ep to the planet rhythm black series.
“tracking happiness” is a lush piece of esoteric techno that spans over six minutes and showcases von grall’ s artful approach to contemporary eletronics.
“case history” is a percussion laden cut that delicately changes further on with slabs of fx while maintaining it’ s mystic atmosphere. “state of being violin” is a state of the art piece of techno music completed by deep percussion and moments of wild fx. “self portraits” serves as the closing track.
this cut showcases taints of experimental electronics and dystopian techno.

javonntte may hail from detroit but his sound more naturally aligns with the likes of kai alce and that soulful, bumping atlanta vibe. this 12- for troubled kids makes for a perfect case in point, not least on killer opening track -walking in the rain- with its irrepressibly funky groove and on-point vocal turn. -yes house- takes things in a more stripped direction without compromising on warmth, while -united we dance- heads towards an even more club-ready approach full of booming bass and sharp swinging drums. that s just the a-side, and with even more soul-powered goodness spilling out of the flip, there can surely be few house heads out there that wouldn t find a loving home for this record.
