prime are delighted to welcome chicago house legend stacy kidd to our roster, and with him is club busting label house 4 life. stacy, cousin of another chi-town legend (if you didnt know already), paul johnson, has been delivering bombs on wax for 20 years on seminal labels like dancemania, peacefrog, dust trax, ken lou, and yellorange, and house4life continues that trend of raw, stripped down, looped up, jacking chicago house that we all know and love. disco feet is a perfect ep to kick things off with 3 discofied jacking mixes from the man himself along with a remix from another chi-town favourite, this time female dj/producer sundance. supported by a plethora of the chicago massive and charted by maurice joshua.

cynic returns with a great 12inch of disco tastic madness. the grooves are loose, the riffs low slung and the beats punchy. just the kind of stuff we re used to hear from the cynic stable. proper bomb. this e.p features three hot tracks in a tribute to the sundance kid, the a side the sundance kid, comes complete with galloping horses, rattlesnakes and gunshots this track is the wild west meets the mirror ball. the first track on the b side westbound 23, is named after the first train robbery that the sundance kid committed in his early years before he joined the wild bunch, the blaze of glory that finishes the e.p. is a reference to the well documented last stand, where butch cassidy and the sundance kid were surrounded by the bolivian army

all tracks are from tanakas archive (2010-2015), which were produced since he had moved his base in berlin. the idea of the dj mixing with only his own tracks has been gestating for sometime and with his trials during his dj dates in europe, south america and japan the selection of the tracks and combination has been made. the thought process of mixing his own materials could be similar to preparing for his own live set. this recording was done at this home in berlin. all tracks has been released on 12inch vinyl (snd 06.07.08 on 2017) except track 6.

generation next returns with his 6th solo ep on the 7 days entertainment label titled phoenix. the ep opens with the song sundance kid, a tune that carries a high-spirited synth and bass throughout mixed in with a simple kick drum, high hat and snare combo. next up on side a is roseland, a cool, smooth house track from gn. a funky baseline accompanied with a warm piano, some complimentary synth and a clean rhythmic drum kit pattern. on the flip side, the first track is jungle 10.10.15. the recording used at the opening is from a voicemail received on the date 10/10/15. this track is pure memorization. the voice of a woman over a frantic high hat pattern and knocking kick drums. the last song of this 4 song ep is gold scorpion. a simple dance tune with high- energy percussion, piano, and kick drum. this dance floor mover will definitely be a favorite.
