three tracks here evoking familiar feelings heard before but still somehow they all sound fresh and drag you in wanting for more. as if this wouldn t do it, there is first but, not last appearance for barba label by mighty jtc who needs no further introduction delivering a remix. this time he cleverly uses sparse but recognizable parts of title track which he then transforms into relentless floor shaker where detroit meets chicago, if any such comparison needs to be made. aquatic stuff !

cool new release with sick jtc acid remix on minimal rome records! polysick has the honour to have the 25th release of the label, with two tracks for the mrx-patiendum est series. from the mysterious hypnotic visions of digital native (planet mu) and the proustian reverie of daydream (audiomer), polysick moves towards an obscure and sinister dancefloor with a 12 that hosts on the b-side a whirling acid remix by jtc.

nick sinna has been on the radars lately with his debut release for prime numbers pn13. sticking to the dark corners of the dance floor as of late, we have commissioned the spaced out bass child, conforce and spectrals secret weapon, jtc (aka dabrye) to add their touch with 2 remixes. conforce takes sinnas >real time< further down the worm hole, adding molten pressure to the percussion, and cutting up & reinforcing the vocal samples. while the acid warrior himself, jtc stays true to his roots on his rework of >voyager<, taking the edge off the snap and slicking the groove down to a more deep, melodic trip. pn13 has already received diverse support by the likes of ben klock, marcel dettman, dvs1 and mr. scruff.

not content with a rich back catalogue of releases under a plethora of monikers such as dabrye, jtc and charles manier spanning multiple genres on labels such as ghostly and rephlex to name a few, 2014 seemed like the right time to create an imprint with the aim of releasing the rich flood of music that flows forth from tadd mullinix.

you dont have enough fingers on one hand to count the number of tadd mullinixs musical aliases. often does an artist want to explore disparate genres, and sometimes they try by releasing under various project names. rarely does this ever work, but its part of mullinixs growing legacy to consistently pull it off with tact, empathy and exuberance.

jtc is a phenomenon. one alias of the multi-talented tadd mullinix. one part of a mind that also houses dabrye, sk-1, charles manier, and halves of tnt, 2am/fm and x2. this time round, on park days, he flexes a house side that has not been seen too often in his career of 13 years. whether the driving groove of south brooks, the late night drum machine jam of argo, creals ever evolving scatter, or the delicate gallup, park days is one of those records where everyone has a different favourite. ie - a good one. we are honoured to release this mans music. a man that continually remains out of the spotlight, yet is revered by your favourite producers for at least one of his many aliases. a man that ignores trends, hype, trickery, and just returns every now and again to nudge that bar a little bit higher than he left it last.

the dba dubs series returns with a fresh tropical house roller from samrai backed by a remix from michigan resident james t. cotton. khadi brings together samrai s tough drums and ethereal sun-kissed fx with a helping of keys from an anonymous local collaborator. on the flip jtc, the artist behind dabrye, sound murderer and a host of other cult catalogues reinvents khadi as a detroit house stepper. manchester resident via the midlands, samrai makes up 50% of the swing ting production unit. he s released with distinguished labels such as keysound, niche & bump and uttu as well as collaborating with ruf dug, murlo, brackles & hyperdub s okzharp. his dj sets take in x-amount of styles, always system-friendly with an emphasis on the soulful side of things.

in 1987, series-a recorded the single evolution5 technology at spectrum sounds studio in st. clair shores, michigan. their set up was a vocoder, e-mu emulator iii, roland 909 drum machine, and an otari 24-track recorder.

killer deep spaced out electro tracks!!! over 20 years ago shad t. scott and his pal seven set up isophlux records, miamis infamous first electronic imprint releasing, as they put techno, electro, funk, experimental, and anything good. now in year 2016, shad under his gosub alias releases this sunday at battle ship key titled ep for barba records, staying true to that initial principle. its far away from just being good though, its beautiful and warm electronic music at its best, oozing chill and feel good moods. original two tracks are accompanied with a remix by second time appearing on barba - jtc aka tadd mullinix who this time nicely surprised us with his ol school ny style house beauty. overall one fine classic record this, period.
