after the previous successful lemos release, quantized music hosts for the 1st time greek veteran dj/producer, thodoris triantafillou. his >suspicious behavior< release on the greek label rhythmetic earlier this year was a big success. he has also released material on souvenir and genowefa among others. thodoris is also one half of the minimal techno act novox, known for releases on labels such as ware, safari electronique, resopal and balkon, just to name a few. this ep contains two original tracks from thodoris plus two remixes from french dj / producer dj w!ld (catwash / robsoul / adult only).

following the excellent single-sided heater from sharif laffrey, discos capablanca is back in action once again with odopt, previously only spotted on excellent swedish label born free. the record opens up with the ominous, dramatic tones of -belgrade-, all searing synth swells and bloated drums working towards some cinematic apocalypse scenario. on the b-side, -croque trans croque- has a cooler head but instead aims to unsettle with its off-key metal chimes atop a steady-ticking disco rhythm, and then -rex ingram- finishes the ep off with yet more surreal beatdowns that will send the party in a very interesting direction indeed.

how much do you really know about nina kraviz? shes a russian techno dj, an accomplished producer, one of dance musicÕs breakthrough names of the last five years. true enough, but theres so much more to her story than that. shes one of electronic musics most interesting characters, someone who has stuck to her musical guns since day one, someone who has wide-ranging roots that run deep in the past, yet shes also the embodiment of the future. her signature sound is a raw blend of house and techno with a very acidic feel. if that feels very now, kraviz has a lot to do with it, which is why she was asked to mix the latest instalment of !k7Õs landmark Ôdj kicksÕ series.

there are few names in dance music today which need less of an introduction than masters at work. the duo of louie vega and kenny dope gonzalez have forged a reputation for genre-eschewing dj sets and flawless house production during careers which have spanned decades and seen hundreds of releases and remixes. their influence and reach changed house forever. taking the song-writing ability of vega and fusing it with gonzalez s encyclopaedic knowledge of breaks and hip-hop, the pair created a smooth-yet-underground sound that is still being copied and referenced by producers today...
