recovering from the gray decay of the winter here in berlin, we are more than ready to push forward farther into the future. in order to do so the powers at chronicle have aligned a new musical offering to test the palate of those who know, and those who care. we are pleased to present six tracks from the prolific arnaud le texier, who has made waves for years with his children of tomorrow imprint and renowned taste. from cosmic interludes to heavy hitting transcendence, arnaud manages to showcase all sides of his production skills as they translate into a compelling and emotive narrative. among them stands a tribute to one who was lost along the way that we simply do not want to forget. only rarely in this life do we stand witness to gures that make a true impression, an imprint that continues to leave a mark long after the original has passed. max_m was one of these gures, and it is through his music and immensely dignified curatorial prowess that his legacy will live on. arnaud’s poignant tribute stands as a personal note amongst an ep full of forceful techno suitable for deep space exploration
collectors item! one side high quality black vinyl and other side picture disc. very unique. figure continues its new limited edition hybrid disc x.5 series with a special 2 track offering from johannes heil. >kykeon i< represents an unabashed, smiles-abound floor-filler with one of heil s most joyful and accessible productions to date. a perfect heady cocktail of slamming 90s drums and uplifting housestab melodies, the german producer has really struck a chord here with this future club-classic. the spaced out stepping beats of >kykeon ii< then, sit in welcome contrast to the all out madness of its bigger brother. subtle, intelligent techno formations rise and swell, based around a similar melodic framework to that found in part i. another masterclass from one of the most talented producers in the business.

as we are beset by the darkest of seasons, let sequencias provide a score to fit the mood. presented in two parts, *hybrid furrows* marks the second transmission of the mysterious healing force project from treviso, italy. the first part is a dense, introspective overture. a ceaseless minor key drone lays the path for deep thrumming gong-like pulse and shuddering percussive textures. a song without a coda, a dream without resolution, it simply dissipates like fog—never revealing it’s center. the second part is similarly monolithic in nature, but crafted more for movement than meditation. it is vicious arpeggiated psychedelia, sharp enough to cut into the deepest recesses of your psyche. both tracks were recorded live in one take. vinyl only.
one of the most exciting liquid acts around today, hybrid minds immediately shot to prominence with the release of the incredible >the place<, and as a group have had over a million plays on ukf. formed of respected jump up producers sensa and haste combined with the vocal talents of grimm, hybrid minds have not looked back since, rapidly making a name for themselves as producers of the most soulful, melodic drum and bass around. after huge releases including a stunning ep on audioporn, feature on med school and a remix for jakwobs >blinding<, hybrid minds are now ready to drop two cuts of their slick, signature sound on the legendary allsorts.

hybrid minds represent a new musical force, with their melodic, soulful drum and bass already making waves. a synergy between influences including trip-hip, acoustic, soul and rnb, hybrid minds, consisting of sensa, haste and grimm, draw on a myriad of influences to produce the smooth sound they are known for. quadrant is best known for the hardware release manipulated living on the carpe diem lp, a track that hasnt left many djs crates since. since then, their output has been slow but steady, and they have amassed a highly respected slew of appearances on triple vision labels citrus and fokuz, showcasing their equal proclivities for dancefloor impact and melodic beauty.2011 represented a remarkable push forward for quadrant, the volume of their output has greatly increased, but like a fine wine, the years have only sharpened their ear for quality and detail. several new solo tunes in the pipeline, and worldwide dj support spanning the gamut from goldie to state of mind, are serving to make this an exciting time for quadrant, their music, and their loyal fans.
