ghost in the machine return to perc trax to follow up their break out one louder ep that came out on the label last summer. since then they ve been focusing on their own genosha basic label, touring to great acclaim around europe and remixing perc & truss’ “leather & lace”, turning an already large track into a peak-time festival munching bomb. across the four tracks on their king dead they widen their sound, floating synth arpeggios over their trademark rock solid kicks and adding a deeper level of ambience that lurks with intent underneath their driving percussive sound.
2018 white vinyl repress incoming!
genosha basic artists, ghost in the machine make their perc trax debut! full picture sleeve perc trax returns to the dance floor after the political firestorm that was perc s bitter music with the debut release on the label from the netherland s ghost in the machine. the perc and therefore perc trax name stems from the word percussion and these three drum-focused tracks sum up the label s name perfectly. rarely appearing away from their own genosha basic imprint this ep hits as hard as anything on perc trax in recent years and along with recent releases from ansome and scalameriya ushers in a new wave of artists and a distinct new chapter in the perc trax story. the holy grill commands the whole of the a-side and charges forward until a reese led breakdown gives you a moment to pause for breath. the b-side contains two percussive workouts that have enough movement and development to them to elevate them above simple drum tools. as b2 track pskdt s locked groove loops endlessly (a first for perc trax), it is clear this ep is a hard-hitting statement of intent from a duo you should be hearing a lot more on perc trax in the near future.
beloved micro-house child of greece anestie gomez delivers trippy breaks and smokey funk shadows on his recent ep for all inn black. expect three slightly different punch of drum machines, with a soft-cored zendid remix on the top.
ghost in the machine is back with a record that’s even newer than their previous one! three extremely detailed and hard-hitting percussion-heavy techno workouts are rounded out by an extremely detailed and slightly less hard-hitting percussionheavy techno workout that goes straight for the grundle. also recommended for women and children.
this is the third release on the fledgling genosha basic label. ghost in the machine is back to serve up four dark and brooding industrial techno dance floor destroyers that are guaranteed to mess with your sensibilities. this record’s got everything: huge intros, huger kickdrums, hugerer breakdowns and cute little hi-hats. it’s a winner.
ghost in the machine returns to continue their adventures in the world of acidfueled industrial techno. this shiny white 12” sees them further exploring, stretching, establishing and reestablishing the boundaries of their own sound. dirtier kicks, cleaner kicks, deeper kicks, techier techno and even more acidic acid. they actually managed to sneak a track on here that doesn’t use a 303. a very bold move which will undoubtedly have farreaching consequences for the future of future dance music. recommended if you like buying records.
dynamic dj/producer duo ghost in the maschine serve up the first release on this new label. all four tracks on their introductory eternal flaming ep harken back to the good old days of dark, dirty, pounding, stroboscopic abondoned warehouse acid. modern production sorcery has made it possible to deliver this sound to you as you’ve never experienced it before. highly recommended if you like hard acid or dancing!
always putting our faith in the music, striving to promote and develop burgeoning talents, dispatch ltd returns in 2015 with an ep from australian producer lockjaw, entitled ghost in the machine. leading on from his debut release on dispatch ltd back in late 2013, were pleased to welcome him back to the label. whilst on the surface a very technical approach to production, rugged and industrial, this ep sees much more musicality at play, with sometimes contrasting elements carefully placed and arranged in a unique way.the result is a sound unlike anything else around both hard hitting for the club and thought provoking for the discerning listener lockjaw delivers with discrete grooves that keep you guessing whats coming next.
with a nod to the roots of dubstep and the evolving sounds it now embraces olie keeps the vibe true to the genre and culture. these 3 cuts epitomize the feel of the lp: heavyweight is the name and the tune follows suit.

dutch producer arts the beatdoctor is set to release his newest work, collaborating with pioneering label lowriders recordings. this ep, titled lazy thunder, marks a significant change to his trademark sound. breaking away from his former laid back style displayed on 2007s transitions (unexpected records), 2008s progressions ep (beats broke) and his releases with the q4 (project: mooncircle), this new ep continues the trend already hinted at in his recent remixes: still present are the hypnotic loops and deep atmospheres, but the setting has changed from the lounge area to the main stage
its only natural that martyn has risen above the cliches and pitfalls of the vacuous dj world. over his 15 years djing, 6 years producing, and 4 years a&ring his 3024 imprint, the holland-born / washington dc-based artist has forged his own path every step of the way. his multi-leveled career has kept balance with a focus on art, and his every sacrifice is preserved in an endless dedication to music. as a continual record buyer and beat seeker, martyn is a beacon of hope through leagues of passion-less djs and producers, the ghost people: plastic, hollow shells that focus only on the in-the-now grooves or keeping in line with trends.
double 12 inch white vinyl in gatefold cover, including code for free digital download of the full album.
following the highly acclaimed harbour boat trips 01: copenhagen by trentemoeller hfn music proudly presents its first artist release by kasper bjoerke, with his brand new long player, standing on top of utopia.
NEW MASTERS VOL 2 - THE TIME AND SPACE MACHINE (CD)
when it comes to being a man of many talents there are few to equal richard norris. dj, producer, musician, audiovisual artist, a&r man, author and journalist, his is a career of many twists and turns which have always seen him at the forefront of pushing new ideas forward and championing diversity and innovation. as 2010 closes richard is focusing most of his energy based around three projects: beyond the wizards sleeve, the grid and the time and space machine
perc & truss’ statement of rave intent “leather & lace” returns when you least expected it, this time in the form of three new remixes from an all-star cast of producers. leading the charge are perc trax’s breakout starts of last year ghost in the machine who build upon their trademark kick drum volley with reese basslines, swearing pads and a stretched out arrangement that showcases all that they are capable of. flip it over and tectonic main man pinch takes a different approach with his uniquely bristolian take on techno, featuring everything from primitive computer bleeps to the kind of broken rhythms he and his label are known for. closing things off is the wildcard of the set as mumdance and logos step away from their weightless sound to serve up a tough, acid driven take that nods it’s head to the classic sounds of bonzai and eye-q.
if ‘convenanza’, released in february, was a distillation of all andrew weatherall’s influences in one place then ‘consolamentum’ takes that instinct a step further. here he invites friends old and new to rework the tracks from convenanza in their own style.
the double vinyl release includes a download code.
with the back catalogue burned to cinders and the last few dog eared copies at freerange hq looking more than a little shabby, heres your opportunity to grab some of the labels highlights on the blackstuff. the complete boxsets have all gone now but you can still buy the box with part one and add the individual releases.
limited to 250 copies !!! on august 4th 2011, the sony music warehouse in enfield, north london was attacked during riots and looting that affected many areas of the capitol over the course of a week. the warehouse burned down completely, taking with it millions of cds and vinyl stored by the distributor pias including the back catalogue of freerange. the blow was devastating for many labels, with the logistics of manufacture and minimal insurance payouts meaning that recreating the entirety of their old stock was completely impossible and many releases have been lost forever as a result.
black sands came out in 2010 to almost universal critical acclaim and worldwide commercial success. si green aka bonobo moved from being an underground producer of impeccable credentials to a poster boy for a new take on electronic music – contemporary and edgy but also soulful, song-based, sometimes lush but always emotional. black sands remixed gathers together a group of like-minded musicians and producers to interpret this classic album.
triple 12 inch vinyl release, including code for free download of this album.
emergent behaviour is what one might determine the calm before the storm, as we dive into the second instalment of the jupiter cycle, as the drifting ambience and somewhat ominous synths proceed abstract thought, itself a stubborn barrage of hardened electro beats, rigid stabs, crystalizing and melding into an explosive mayhem and of course, the ghost in the machine, if anything a more traditional styled, yet irresistible electro hit. the deep showcases hadamard in a distinctly experimental mode, where all the fine details are tuned to perfection for maximum atmosphere. finally, drifting into the collective and satellite swarm, both gliding onwards and ever deeper into pure ambience, the latter closing piece eloquently preparing the audio stratosphere for the next chapter in the jupiter cycle. special limited edition pack includes the second in a series of collectable posters.

following a busy year of stylistically varied releases under various guises on his own magic + dreams label, ralph cumbers delivers his first long-player for punch drunk. with a title lifted from the lysergic prose of a brian aldiss novel and grooves informed by the loopier, more martian aspects of chi-town jack and detroit techno-soul, reeling skullways marks a subtle, but highly alluring development in the evolution of cumbers primary recording project.
the album is an exciting multi-genre journey through kaspers mature, extravagant and richly musical mind. lashings of glittering analogue synthesizer jams, warm throbbing post-disco trips, touching, heart-felt pop songs and dark electronic club tools are all present. kasper really went to town on this album, and each track literally overflowing with top class studio and musical ability. bursting with live instrumentation, tape-deck overdubs and an unmissable finger-onthe- pulse atmosphere, its a treat for the ears and in fact all the senses. 10 uplifiting, melancholic, timeless and life-affirming songs lie in store. a veritable danish entourage of vocalists including louise foo (giana factory) and tomas höffding (whomadewho) are featured on the album alongside a wide selection of guest musicians. jacob bellens (i got you on tape / murder) wrote the song and contributed the vocals and lyrics on young again, the first single to be lifted from the album, which comes complete with superb remixes from whomadewho, serge santiago and lopazz & zarook
