following 3 maxis on hilltop imprint and the label construct re-form, the producer fareed formerly of the society of silence duo (versatile, concrete music) returns on the new label, maze, dedicated to experimental breaks and cinematic soundscapes. this first ep, with irregular rhythms and metallic sounds, loses us in the meanders of a jungle and transports us into a world borrowed from mysticism.

we are glad to introduce “fareed” half part of the french duo “society of silence” for his first solo ep on a label. with the “phausis ep”, fareed offers an interesting balance between emotional melodies and organic textures, raw sonorities : the result is full of tension and very personal : another point of view on the techno. we choose three original tracks and ask to our friend voiski to work on a aerial and refreshing remix which sticks perfectly with the original project. enjoy …

after their split ep released in may 2014 on hilltop imprint (the label they have founded almost two years ago) the two parisians sign a second ep. same cooking, same formula : techno music, house music, percussions, aerial pads and keys completed by a remix from tite (fragil musique / society of silence), well executed, punchy and trippy.

it is a two heads job. parisians producers pawn heart and fareed (also half of the techno duo society of silence) deliver a first split ep. for over a year, influenced by the raw sound of detroit and chicago, they were exchanging tips and compositions, catching each other, when possible, in the cold but intense urban landscape, drawn between northern paris neighbourhoods and banlieue.
