from tillburg to hamburg, from the brutal techno of drvg cvltvre to the distorted synths of fallbeil, that new avengers split ep is an acid trip into the raw sounds of northern europe s diy rave scene some hard stuff for the 21st century punks!
macht macht zement - what does it mean? 80s drums, synths and vocals, almost without context.
,,,fallbeil, two soon-to-be men (aka boys), finish tracks at the rate of butchers kneading meatballs. due to laziness and a lack of technique, everything gets recorded on one track and immediately thrown into the frier.
,,,nothing is planned. first up, school detention followed by rough lofi rap.
,,,the album contains a wide variety of themes from mailmen to warthogs, from latecomers to sensible conversation, every track is created out of spontaneity. two very short tracks on this album date back to 1999, when the boys performed as ‘funky granatos’ in the local youth centers. sadly, their performances werent successful. nobody wanted to listen to them and almost every concert ended in mass brawls.
,,,the track postman comes from the duos side project grand malheur and was recorded in 2015 in bronxfeld. more output from this project will appear on various eps in the near future.
,,,the album title macht macht zement originates from tom pötgen. tom always wanted to throw the sacred hand grenades. we hope he does that right now!
valcrond video continues its devilish run of form with this new single from fallbeil, a project that has previously been spotted on new york haunted, return to disorder and mannequin. that should give you an idea of the kind of deviant sonics we re dealing with here, skirting around industrial, electro and techno with limber and dirty hardware jams for the sinister dancefloor. rolling dutch clearly nods towards the hague way of doing things, all eerie pads, gnarly acid lines and rasping drums, while on the flip side rave on plastic pushes the bubbling monosynth action to the front of the mix.
after a year ride between return to disorder, contort yourself and new york haunted, the hamburg based duo fallbeil debuts on death of the machines. tune in the incredible electro/acid razor the healer, also available in the b side with a distorted and industrial influenced version by innsyter aka fernando seixlack, already smashing it for l.a. club resource. the 707-electro-driven extra b side track voice of thunder is completing the pack. just killer. tip!
two long sides of doomed out distorted techno. full improv on the machines with vocals and a shitload of attitude. fallbeil have been making serious waves lately and we are happy they are back at nyh with some of their heaviest jams to date.
after a strong first release contort yourself returns with events at the fatal party which comes over more as a description than a title, brimming with a bubbling sense of tension and fear. hamburg duo fallbeil kick things off in impressive style with a crunchy acid monster which twists and turns followed by two killer proto-techno cuts from legendary french industrial band die form from their 1985 tape hurt. here we find ourselves in a unsettling scenario with metallic voices scowling over clanging machines and guitar feedback in an unhinged way. the mysterious slugbug (l.i.e.s./russian torrent versions) starts the flip with goback, a creeping acidic beast moving unstoppably forward as a reverberating voice ripples throughout. any calm is then shattered by ibm a.k.a. jamal moss whose remix of die form hammers home a tough seven minutes of mangled synths, bubbling acid and thundering drums. a highly recommended, intense journey.
ALL WATCHED OVER BY MACHINES OF LOVING GRACE (180 GRAM VINYL 2XLP)
2x12" Vinyl UK08.09.17
the third release by the paris based public system recordings knows no bounds or borders. a massive 2x12 inch compilation featuring the likes of fallbeil, innsyter, morah, buttechno and many more from the realms of heavy rust and wild animals. the heart beat of industrial noise resonating through weathered metal surfaces. psr003 is certainly writhing with wild tribal movement informed by the ferocity of feverish drum programming, waterlogged flanging and carefully degraded waveforms creating this fully engrossing and almost unclassifiable techno selection. it certainly puts an emphasis on the body aspect of ebm.
overlord of polish techno, foql, drops 2 originals and 2 remixes on this tape. slabs of heavy, doomed out techno get complimented by remixes by tapirus (aka charlton) and the mighty german techno duo fallbeil. peak hour madness
for the first release on terminal operations the two label founders kuno and spaceinvasion from berlin, the mighty fallbeil from hamburg and mysterious neuspotter ns465 team up for this wicked four tracker. the a-side starts with one nasty uk-influenced techno banger by kuno which is followed by spaceinvasion s pure raw acid onslaught. on the flip side fallbeil deliver another distorted acid bomb with brutal vocals and neuspotter ns465 finishs off with some synth-driven madness.
