italian techno producer distant echoes presents the first ep of the new year -rough waves-, a four-track pack out on the berlin-based, southern-italy born out-er label.
distant echoes has been building a name in the last few years since he debuted on the dystopian label in 2014 and toured all around the world, yet, he s been producing and playing electronic/house/techno music since almost two decades. as out-er co-founder, he previously released music before the beginning of his bond with dystopian. in the last years, while distant echoes has mostly focused on releasing on dystopian, out-er has indeed expanded its range of collaborations worldwide, by putting out music from juan atkins, orlando voorn, terrence dixon and more.
distant echoes now readies the first installment on his own label with his newest moniker, showcasing his typical sound: deep, intense grooves and gloomy soundscapes crafted with exceptional productional accuracy.

jeremiah r has been responsible for some of the finest electro to be released over the past few years, with his mini albums for tabernacle records being particularly potent. here he launches the distant wave label with eight more chunks of atmospheric, far-sighted futurism. as usual, he flits between ambient style interludes and more expansive dancefloor fare. in the latter category you ll find the motor city techno futurism of -bermuda triangle-, the glistening idm loveliness of -streaming to arcadia-, the larry heard-in-space deepness of -cruiser-, and the drexciyan throb of -jar (jamming avoidance response)-. all are, naturally, both luscious and pleasingly melodious, whilst retaining an intergalactic sense of atmosphere.

japonaiserie was the term the dutch post-impressionist painter vincent van gogh used to express the influence of japanese art. artists including manet, degas and monet, followed by van gogh, began to collect the cheap colour wood-block prints called ukiyo-e prints a mini lp by benoit b, the boss of banlieue records, on which he creates a futuristic environment influenced by the japanese electronics of the 80s. a musical japanaiserie that can melt your cold cold heart.

empty vision provides the next pillar to the structure of lanthan.audio and is the latest project of the italian-rooted damiano di cagno. in addition he was able to convince distant echoes dystopian and the well-known chris stanford to paraphrase his visions.

inaugurating 2016 with lee holman’s debut ‘one man army’ on raw waxes, the italian imprint welcomes the new year with a series of remixes of the irish producer’s release of last may, which feature four benchmarks of contemporary techno: cassegrain, distant echoes, haiku and kimyon. the record is out on 12” vinyl format. it comes on black vinyl with an additional hand numbered paper insert realized by german illustrator benedikt rugar, who also designed the illustrations of lee holman’s ‘one man army’, the drawing is a continuation of that release’ visual abstract porn concept.

pisetzky’s sound comes from a walk through elevated paths, passing through obscure lanes of a mysterious soul. hidden between its urban inspiration, his music expresses a unique vibe that drifts from a dialogue though this inspiring metropolitan nature. shy spirits whisper wistfully synths of a never ending voyage, five alluringly deep tracks that hit their hypnotic impetus as soon as you let them lead their full ambitious course. elevation, born from a collaboration with primal, has been produced in a nordic desolated environment in the outlands of copenaghen.
