profound sound presents the various vol.1 featuring four tracks with there own individual atmosphere, owen jay s bipyramid stepping between the house and techno field, melchior sultana s paris keeping things deep, colkin and javonntte teaming up to deliver the stunning in my soul and deep88 goes old school acid with his u are a deaf man.

after the first two 12inches from label founder deep88 himself, ascii records turns to a whole host of different characters to remix those tracks with some stunning and varied results. luis cl is up first, taking a decidedly mellow approach to harmony that tips into a heavy lidded early 90s deep house mood perfectly, while rnr take the robert owens-featuring believe in you and make it into a stirring, tense but ultimately emotional acid-laced floor track. rhythm 2 soul do a gentle job on la beija, mhcrew take a larry heard-esque approach on rotation and jimini lets the space in the mix tell its own story.

what about this love is not only a famous larry heard song but now it s also a house music label. the first release sees the detroit outsider javonntte and the berliner-italian deep88 on a real underground raw house song, matching the detroit soul house with the rawness and liveness of the italian producer, creating an epic vocal track, something that could have been made in the golden age of house music. on the flip there s the melchior sultana treatment, a name that is rising release after release thanks to his works and nothing else, playing all the kinds of instruments and being able of using sequencers and drum machines creating a perfect balance between a real musician and a serious house producer, add to all this a deep88 remix and a javonntte amazing dub version and the watl01 is served. more to come.

deep88 is back! here is a 7 track lp, music without any pretence, no silly fx or crazy compression/production tricks to take away from the music. just that 1988/1993 vibe with a slight balearic twist but some how avoiding to sound like a poor copy or dated. this last statement couldnt be any truer on this release. the vibe is carried through the whole ep with each consequent track then offering something a little bit different, some showing his balearic side and other tracks having a more house feel.

we have reached number 10. time to celebrate with a remix edition of the deep88 & melchior sultana project. awaiting the album release (later 2014) we asked 2 of our heroes if they would like to make a remix for us. with a lot a lot (and a lot) of happiness we announce the nightwave remix by ben >cozmo d< cenac, formerly known as dream 2 science (and sha-lor and newcleus and the cellar boyz), that made us a wonderful space trip with his dreamy synths and stylish drums. the other remix is >yo house< treated by the excellent australian producer andras fox, that converts the song into a super classy deep house one with a lot of hiss and love. the man behind > running late> really made some magic over the melody of yo house, as usual with the aim of analogue warm-tape-feel and his crazy skills.

12records is here to introduce the 2nd album by deep88, aka alessandro pasini.this album is a collection of removing dust ep vol 1 +2 (available separately).after some 12 inches released on vinyl only it felt right to collect some of the best songs released together with the brand new material and create an organic album, supporting the album with a live setup (no laptop is involved).

following the acclaimed removing dust ep, here is volume 2. this release is the second part of the album removing dust released separately as 12inchs, with the same tracks from the album. main news on this 12inch is b1 cover of molokos *sing it back*, with the astonishing voice of the huge, not a voice competion but a tribute to one of the best bands of our time.

4th release by 12records, presenting the new deep88 >removing dust< ep (taken from the forthcoming >removing dust< album that will be released later on this year). main single is a2 >the vibe<, a classic 90s beat made over a real melody, where vocals parts crossover and match each others, in two differents peaks, to create a whole >vibe< flow from the start till the end of the song. a1 is a test signal experiment, where samples take a different level, a sort of meta sample, a sample into a sample… well, have a listen, its easier to understand that way. bside is 3 tracks long, not a common practice in todays ep releases. b1 >grancartridge<, a moodymann house style raw song, b2 is even more raw sampling style, meanwhile b3 is a dreamy vocal house tune more common to deep88s style. the result is a mature ep, that ntroduces the 2nd deep88 album, always on 12records, and that will bring him into that >serious< realm of making house that is seen in some elite today (funny isn’t it… at the end it is just about music and we all have ears… maybe)... btw less marketing on our head, this 12inch wont be a coloured or hand written limited release, just the good old classic black one (yes it sounds better folks) and no limited copies… when is close to finish we will repress as usual.

do you remember the classic track >salsa house< back in good old 1988? yes? no? no problem! you will find a great cover version of this classic as the opener track of the new deep88 ep. a tribute to that amazing sound from the 80s … and yes the piano is the famous korg m1 piano preset as you may have already recognized!
the second track on the a side is a deep and straight track named >summer original<. the track features a lead synth clearly inspired by >summer madness< from kool and the gang.
the b featuring the mysterious vocalist laura. b1 is titled >5 a.m.<, which is coincidentally the perfect time for playing this version! if you dig the likes of roisin murphy this will be right up your street!
the last track of the ep is the named >detroid edit< and als features the amazing vocals of laura.all the best - 12records crew

from his roots in early italo disco , a sound that inspired him since his childhood, this mysterious producer comes out with a genuine gem of pure balearic and disco mood, among the use of real hardware and various instruments creating this classic extended disco version that sounds in an actual disco edit style, even if the song is brand new. leading the voice is the huge, a magical voice and multi instrumentalist from italy: the combo between the two is explosive, mellow and at the same time light and pure. then the remix by melchior sultana, famous for his collaboration with owen jay on jus eds label (underground quality), creates a magical and elegant slow tempo version, chilled and funk at the same time, with a totaly new mood and some real rhodes and guitar played and sequenced in an akai mpc sampler. last the house electro disco dont play minimal, play minigolf, that follows a hypnotic mood bass synth, accomplished with ethereal chords and a super funky trumpet, sampled directly from will powers masterpiece of the early 80s…. ta ta taaa
