cosmic garden (from cosmic rhythm fame...) new on our royal oak series. 4 tracks of smooth bleepy house that only italians do right. deep, timeless, all analog produced tracks for that pleasure moment.
elcome to smallville, rhythm of paradise. we are big fans of michele lamacchias music since he released paradise on his debut 12 as rhythm of paradise on cosmic rhythm. this track breathens out everything we love about house music- deepest rhythms and dope production, timeless sounds - and the mighty loon. whenever we played this track since it came to light, this was a highlight of the night. we approached michele to send some love for his music and he send over this ep- 3 tracks plus a shimmering remix from his buddy nicola loporchio aka cosmic garden, who is running the cosmic rhythm label. we are delighted to present these as smallville 53, comes with a full cover art by the one and only stefan marx.
new years deal - the next chapter in the creme organization ecplise series comes from cosmic garden with three original tracks and one remix from orgue electronique. little is known about cosmic garden other than he is from southern italy and has had two eps out in 2016, one on hotmix and one on cosmic rhythm. he heads out the blocks here with reptilian treant , six minutes of lo-fi deep house that is roomy and atmospheric. lazy synths bring soul and a gentle chatter of claps and hits helps drive it along. rare centaur is also way below the surface but is darker and more celestial, with turbulent bass, frantic claps and angelic chords glowing like a white light at the end of a tunnel. dutch house and electro don orgue electronique then remixes reptilian treant into something that is slick and serene, with metallic lines dancing above rubbery drums as big piano chords boucle up top. it is joyous and colourful and truly majestic before final track apocalyptic moose takes us back down into a mournful house vibe that echoes chicago with its roughhewn analogue textures and lovestruck chords.
bristol-based illustrator and musician adam higton welcomes you back into the mossy realm of the cosmic neighbourhood. with each song acting as a response to a series of paper-and-scissors compositions, collages ii documents the daily goings-on of an imagined world. sonically, this record straddles new and old, taking modular electronics, flutes, bells and softly pattering drum machines, before colouring them all with the amber glow of some forgotten, psychedelic kids tv programme. higton s benign toots and echoing jingles bring to mind daphne oram s early delay experiments or the meandering playfulness of tom cameron. radiophonic and time-worn, it still somehow sounds like the future.
brand new record from sacred rhythm music featuring the 12 release of h.garden & joi’s >gentle rain<, which features brand new mixes of the deep future classic plus alternate mixes of the vocal jam, >cravin<, both rendered anew by the srm’s joe claussell.

tartelet records is 10. to celebrate a decade in the cut, they re out a home run of new material from label mainstays & fresh signings in 2018. to kick things off, the label is enormously proud to set free endless light –– a new record from oakland newcomer space ghost.
coming on like a brainchild to dam funk & mutant beat dance, ghost s sound falls off the shelf between a number of distinct reference points: lone s early tropical synaesthetics, the modern funk of funkosphere, the intimate tapes out of ppu. in a sea of soundcloud copycats, he s a revelation.
endless light is a record with an open hand: an instantly appealing sound from a new producer with a highly-tuned ear. born of his collection of antique synths & drum machines, the space ghost experience channels a deep heritage of 1980s funk minimalism & analogue boogie. velvet pads, hood-rat sleaze & heaped spoonfuls of soul.
