repress from their 1982 12-on shout - comes with additional 1981 demo version from the sargasso sea track. shoc corridor was the london post-punk quartet of paul o’carroll (voice, synth), andy garnham (synth, drum), chris davis (guitar, bass, e-bow) and nogi prass (synth) named after the sam fuller film from 1963. chris met nogi shortly after moving to london in 1979 – they started playing music together, fell madly in love, and decided to form a band. they recruited andy, who had previously played in a band with stephen luscombe of blancmange, and lyricist and vocalist paul. their influences were wide reaching: kraftwerk, neu, cabaret voltaire, brian eno, pil, and joy division.
support from djulz, cesar merveille, nima gorji, gwen maze, enzo siragusa, audiofly, robert dietz, okain, luna city express, dj w!ld, jordan peak, hanfry martinez, ntfo. julian perez gets booked at great parties such as viva warriors, tini and the gang, fuse london, circo loco and more.
the belgian testtoon label rereleases artificial horizon, a track from the early 80s by the obscure english band shoc corridor. glacial, driving and surprisingly modern, artificial horizon was one of the six tracks on shoc corridors debut album experiments in incest. remix duties are performed by mordant music, who takes the original into his own universe, delivering a bubbling, industrial and spacious rework. the belgian bepotel takes artificial horizon into nu-house territory and testtoon artist oubys delivers a driving, modern techno remix, heavily based on the original.
ranked in the pantheon of techno artist, we are proud to have umek onboard, delivering a fantastic 2 track ep. umek who seducing the masses with his own music blend from more than a decade infusing this ep with his high standard trademark.
DOWN THE CORRIDOR TO THE EXIT THROUGH THE GATES OUT INTO SAFETY (LP)
12" Vinyl lp UK18.08.09
as the title of their new full length recording suggests, green concorde is moving, and moving fast. the direction is one and one only: out!
be it from the dark star palm trees of miami, from the silvercoated buildings in the city of glass or from the claustrophobic humidity of their now abandoned rehearsal room in copenhagen, this outfit is running for safety. out where the stars look like arrows on fire. as they move, green concorde stays true to their pulsating post-punk brand, though some of the sounds characteristic noise has been distilled and filtered, leaving a more soft and atmospheric expression than the one characterizing their previous album, ten cities. and unlike ten cities, this album is not a result of hours spent in a cold rehearsal room in a humid basement. instead the nine songs were written under intimate and private forms, partly in the bandmembers own appartments in copenhagen, partly in a small cottage in the dark outskirts of denmark. the run has begun. are you ready to follow green concorde down the corridor, to the exit, through the gates, out into safety?
THE GREAT LAKES SOUND EP ONE (TECHNO FROM THE I94-401 CORRIDOR
12" Vinyl UK18.12.06
from the soon to be released 20-track 2xcd compilation of the same name, comes two 12inch eps featuring tracks from the album. ep one has some harder-edged electro burners on side a, with some top quality detroit flavored minimal tracks on the flip side. tracks coming from pan / tone, dan lui, mike shannon and coordinates
cloud corridors is the first release of jan philipp longerich alias processed.sunshine and also the debut on his imprint fertile imagination music, which stands for puristic grooves, deep and dreamy vibes and an all in all raw sound that sticks tight to the original idea of a track. inspired by different formations of clouds and their movements, the record takes the lsistener from huge cloud castles in wolkenburg through cloud corridors down into the dark vibe of the fog. minimalistic drum manchine patterns, deep pads, hypnotic sequences and morphing basslines give the record its warm, lively and feral character. the lp was completely created out of live sessions with analog equipment and each track was recorded in one take. - these bouncing analog grooves are made for after hours in the early morning.
love pain sunshine & rain aka lopasura, on only its second release is evidently becoming a force to be reckoned with. benedikt freys distinct rugged aesthetics toy with some conceptual ideas for each contribution, flirting with greek mythologies, romantic legends and the idea of intricate layered meanings and rhetorics for the ep as a whole. coarse kick drums and clattering percussions are used in conjunction with epic industrial and machine-like synth lines, beautifully engineered and held together by the mixed emotions and moody atmospheres present in all three tracks. the genuine and heart-felt intent with frey’s work is undeniable, producing a fine and certain quality that will surely resonate with anyone in favour of the live and raw musical attributes he is skillfully displaying with each new release.
supported by loco dice, simon baker, fabrice lig, florian meindl, angel molina, josh wink and many more.. here at immigrant we are thrilled to present an outstanding ep from our youngest prodigy. hailing from the uk’s murky midlands, 20 year old subb-an is rapidly proving himself a producer to watch in 2008 through his residency and explosive live sets at birmingham’s renowned below party, and a successful release on leftroom earlier this year..
seductive and cinematic soundscapes between ambient, drone and indie-neoclassical music: these are the best words to describe hior chroniks style. a style that captures ears and soul, bringing you into an imaginary world, arousing emotions, making the mind wander to distant places. this is the goal of the greek musician, now living half of the year in athens and the other half in berlin. you can hear it in his new record out of the dust, produced by himself, mixed by john vallasis and mastered by francesco donadello at calyx studio, berlin. i tried to combine ambient and drone sounds with strings and piano following a harmonic direction, chronik explains. i wanted to make a soundtrack for a movie that was never shot. the mood is melancholic, but not only that: theres a dark side, but i made it run parallel with bright soft melodies, chronik continues. and on the topic of his music influences: its hard to specify what exactly they were, but i think i’m close to max richter and in some ways to arvo part. besides that, true inspiration comes from my life experiences, even the small little things: books, films, people i meet, travels. and being close to nature: i would say that’s the base of everything. after three solo records and two in collaboration with arovane, chronik is now ready to launch his new work out of the dust. the title is a political quote about how we can fight against the crisis, but also against the existential anguish of surviving. a movement of no fear and the beginning of a new life, he explains. on how he developed the songs, he says: i recorded piano, trumpet and strings in their analogic sound, then i used effects as i always do for the ambient and drone sounds. out of the dust shows a personal and unique style that brings hior chronik’s music to a wider audience. his sound is able to embrace at the same time the delicate piano themes and the dark ambient/drone tones, while at the same time searching for new territories to explore in the neo-classical scene
mihigh steps up for tlr006 and in mihighs true fashion brings his usual dark flavour to trapped ldn. mihigh is known for his head bending, dark, trippy erie minimal style and he has once again delivered with this evil 2 track ep. mirrors is a mix of driving minimal and dark atmospheric sounds which gives you a great after party style of track but could also be blended into a maintime set. mutual contemplation is our personal favourite which can be used as both a tool, a warm up track or an after party track. its crazy trippy leading synth keeps you entertained throughout the whole track and sounds like it was created to mess up anyones mind while at a party. we are super happy to have mihigh in the trapped family as he has been one of our favourites at various festivals we have seen him

first va release from delusion..delusion started at the beginning of 2016 in bremen, with a same-titled event series in different venues/spots hosting some national and international guests, delusion now offers its own musical output. a project which isn t bound to any specific sound, moving between ambient, drone, experimental but mainly techno, hardware based and analog influenced structures form harsh resonator sounds in context to playful arpeggiators and deep buzzing basses on sweet acid. delusion creates unknown atmospheres.
catherine and gerald o-connell s work as lives of angels quietly and subtly helped to define a whole generation of post-punkers for the greater part of the 1980s. much like other luminaries of the scene at the time, the couple have remained in the shadows of time, highly praised by the collectors but barely ever cited by the mainstream, and if that s not punk then we don t know what is. dark entries are doing the honours of course, and the imprint have managed to license a whole bag of previously released and unreleased material, the former from a bunch of dusty cassettes which are now going for gold on the second-hand market. this was the era of the drum machine, and these 11 tunes are all carried by that unmistakable analogue swing, at times harsh and leaning into something tech-minded, and at other times playful and quirky, a tendency which defined this outfit and the time in which they operated. what a record, this is another dark entries monster
to feel the future is to feel the fall into time. for the fourth instalment in tresor s kern mix series, dj stingray (urban tribe/drexciya) presents a device for decoding time in all directions, a sonic prism that refracts our senses into auxiliary components of a total future-rush. with a far-reaching selection that has been worked into his own unique form, dj stingray wraps our vertigo around a gritty pneumatic bump with high-velocity swing. his mixing style, prepared for hostile engagements as it is, throttles techno into counter-gravity forces. wading through a specialised cross-section of detroit s own dance-floor contagions as well as the contaminated feedback signals from across the global aqua plains, the mix can be summed up in just one word: hectic. raw, caustic, synthetic rhythm-code pumps frenzy itself through a cascading geothermal fog. never giving away the cryptographic keys, dj stingray works you harder than your heart, adapting your biology to a fractal timeline of viscous systems. discovery, or uncovering, has to do with what already exists actually or virtually, it is therefore certain to happen sooner or later with enough sweat in the club. and as kern volume 4 attests to, dj stingray has the access codes and the stealth sense to make a place of a space, and to let it fall into time. accompanying the mix is a double vinyl. the leading manoeuvre comes from the collaborative efforts of dj stingray and heinrich mueller under an exclusive nrsb-11 piece. seven more key titles of the covert assault make up this vinyl edition
following their eponymously titled 2016 arrival on midlands graded imprint, as well as a recent followup on dark entries, solitary dancer return to the label on which they made their debut. once again, this three-track 12inch blends electro, ambient, and acid to superb, undeniably modern effect. with a running time of nearly 12-minutes, the title track transmitting to heaven is an ambitiously sweeping cut that subtly moves through its various shades, from electro and acid, to strobe-lit 90s rave. the b-side kicks off with birth of saturn, built around an arpeggiating synth that shifts and morphs throughout the track as the intensity ascends. the 12inch closes off with ‘at the end of the corridor of love, a loss’, a slow burning ambient piece that is as sombre as it is cinematic.

apollo are proud to present a stunning new project from nyc / berlin based artists soundwalk collective aka the trio of stephan crasneanscki, simone merli and kamran sadeghi. formed in manhattan to produce concept albums, sound installations and live performances, they create immersive audio excursions from field recordings which they gather from all over the globe - previous works have seen them collaborate with berghain, nan goldin, the films of jean-luc godard and patti smith.
techno duo slam present a brand new artist album “machine cut noise”. with the double vinyl album, machine cut noise, stuart mcmillan & orde meikle delve into the everyday workings of what makes us human, with life, so to speak, running at the very heart of album. much of their time is spent on the road, therefore, many of the original ideas for the album were created in airports, hotels and where ever the two found themselves inspired around the world. this created a vibe that each track was born of the modern machine itself.
last trasmissions from solaris was inspired by the stanislav lems novel solaris, a journey into techno-soul emissions explored by the talent of passenger. it combines a subdole sci-fi atmosphere with solid techno approach and scientific electro incarnation. here you can find a direction if your soul needs an utopian vision of the future. the closest thing to detroit we have been able to produce over the years.
launched in 2010 by infamous electro artist umwelt and graphic partner chris nexus 6, new flesh records definitively focuses on underground and futuristic music. productions are characterized by the use of analogue synthetic ma-chines: therefore, the music oscillates between electro and techno styles.

this ep is part of a 2 ep series from steve romani (db_24) released on his own label modular machine records, following the urban works series released on ac records. the track *corridor* was previously released on ac_01 in 2009. the tracks mix various styles, to create a special downtempo ep. the 9 minute final track is a self remix of the track *urban maze* under the electro hip hop aka mattamass.
gynoid audio, one of the few female labels around, started her course in 2010. she s now one of the most prolific labels when it comes to a variety of functional techno, with focus on drive, mood, dirt and depth. the amount of well-established veterans (both old and new) who released or remixed for the label, or newcomers who saw their career start on gynoid, is impressive. it also describes why its one of the most charted labels in it s field of operation. to celebrate the mains series 100th release and the continuance of the label we decided to preset a massive va compilation spanning over three releases. here is a limited green vinyl of the second volume from the 100th compilation, featuring brand new tracks by audio injection, black hats, mattias fridell, rraph.

threads is the debut album from london producer om unit, to be released on civil music in november 2013. while this is a debut full length for om unit, real name jim coles, it is in fact the producers fourth studio album, following from work in the 2000s under the name 2tall. having reset the clock on his artistic output in 2010, coles has spent the past three years refining a unique sound as om unit via collaborations with machinedrum on planet mu, releases on goldies metalheadz, dbridges exit records and civil music, his own cosmic bridge label and the short-lived phillip d. kick alias that fleshed out the links between chicagos footwork, jungle and slow/fast. the confluence of all this work takes full flight on threads.

one of the most reliable names in techno and arguably berghains most prominent face, marcel dettmann has already once accomplished the difficult task of translating his pared-back techno sound to the album format
lovers of giorgio moroder, kraftwerk, aphex twin, drexciya, legowelt or ceephax will find it easy to relate to this wonderful melodic acid bath. with its foundations in synth pop, chicago house, detroit techno and electric dance, this album brings us a real taste of scandanavia, rather than the all too common swedish house mafia.
