hands down proper detroit gear, timeless classic material here, if that s what you re after - look no further! coming on strong way back in 87 on the legendary kms label when we used to play is 4 solid as cuts, stripped back box jams, sleazy vocals and samples and ultra-jacking rhythms! this one s for the heads and is the first of 2 baxter 12-s that mint condition will be presenting to you! trademark deep basslines and sultry atmospheres are what baxter does best and this is one of the first, and best, examples of his unique flavour of house and techno. there have been a few bootlegs of this classic ep floating around for a few years, but this pressing is the real deal, a solid collabo between mint condition and blake baxter. an essential cornerstone of one of the most important musical scenes in dance music indeed - every home should have one!
direct from the heads and hearts manning la cheetah club, the well-established glaswegian cellar-dwellers kick the doors open to outer zone with an ep from copenhagen adoptee and apeiron crew stalwart, solid blake. perfectly suited to the sonic sensibilities of scotlands cultural capital (and far, far beyond), the 4 track grey-matter-rattler delves through a darker, leftfield electro vim, with serious remix duties from dancefloor deity dj stingray. primed to shake the foundations of any venue, be it basement or above.
kht 008 is coming from no less than the man who is called * the prince of techno* by his peers. and that is for a reason: blake was part of the first wave of detroit techno artists and dis and contributed to the techno movement from the mid 80s. tracks like “when a dream becomes u” or “our love” are milestones of electronic music, his style, which he calls “poetry and rhythm” is distinctive. for killekill house trax he delivers the acid life ep which comes along with two strong, acid driven tracks, the a-side darker and more chicago-oriented with its rhythmical focus and the punchy kick, the b-side more detroit-ish with its uplifting chords. timeless!
four313 is a detroit group of deejays, musicians and producers from the 1st wave of the detroit techno dance movement. blake, eddie, santonio & thomas have joined forces as the unit four313, a group name with meaning and purpose, and that is to preserve detroits true history in dance music and support the dj culture through vinyl releases. the debut album of four313 will be released with the launch of their new record label called ther label. four313 will collectively release special limited edition vinyl of brand new recordings starting at the beginnning of 2017.
nice price deal !!! james blake heads up the debut release on 1-800-dinosaur with two tracks showcasing the new labels forward facing manifesto. 1-800-dinosaur is the brainchild of both dan foat, the man behind r&s records revival and blake who also run the 1-800-dinosaur club night together with airhead, klaus and mr assister at plastic people in london. the release leads with metallic house banger voyeur dub, tried and tested to devastating effect on the plastic people dance floor in 2012, leading to a shortened arrangement of the song finding its way onto blakes critically acclaimed sophomore album overgrown. on the flip and holy ghost is a beat-less sojourn into the future soundscapes of electronic music and a deft reminder of blakes ability at traversing genres with ease

dense & pikas kneaded pains label arrives kicking and screaming into 2015 with another raw n raucous ep, this time from blake stone. deftone sets the scene nicely with a nice slab of heads down warehouse techno, good 2 me uses a well known sample for an altogether more sunnier track whilst flipsides cruel tone tightens up the beats for a very modern sounding slice of peak time action whilst affected once again delves in the darker side of things with a low-down dirty stomper.

collaborations are often the fortune of timing. with andy having moved on since closing the dissident label to launching his cave paintings project to tim s departure from battant and striking out as andrew weatheralls engineer and soon to be co-member of the asphodells, an alliance was born between the two to undertake a series of live jam sessions at eachs respective studios. a love of new wave, new beat, uk bleep and detroit techno all feature in b-ultras and the aptly titled, neu beat. both cuts are heavily soaked in the pitch black, smoke machine funk and strob-laden fug of andys (and co-hort joe hart) infamous world unknown dancefloor. running at around 10 minutes the tracks are essentially an examination of acid houses ideals. clattering hats, throbbing basslines, stabbing keys and doses of 303. keeping it pretty simple but all about a pure groove on and on. backing these up is a remix of b-ultras from jamie paton that accentuates the groove and drags the acid deeper down to some b-boy dub throwdown - with more to follow from all protagonists in 2014.
four classics and two original remixes present on this archiv #08 re-issue have been carefully selected by savvas ysatis and tresor, to be re-mastered and cut in a new confi,,,,,,guration for your listening pleasure and playing comfort
love, murder, passion…in the heat of the night what is unresolved comes to the fore. after our maiden voyage into the unknown last spring, on our continuing expedition we find ourselves entering into the fantastical world of a bedroom jockey with a sublimely over active imagination.
shit the bed, its been over a year since the last wu 12. after 2 tracks appeared on andrew weatheralls masterpiece comp and apientos orange place became a bona fide underground anthem most labels would have piled in with a slew of releases to capitalise on the interest
877 records join with longtime friends and collaborators to present the well rounded rebel alliance ep. klic and riskotheque lead the way with their track compton, a bass heavy anthem already rocking the clubs and doing damage on radio. stomping 808′,,,,s, sing along vocals and acid arpeggios join perfectly to form this instant classic. donga & blake more than do justice to the original with the compton give a dam jam remix. a perfect example of their sublimely considered approach, the reworking is an altogether deeper four to the floor roller using only finely selected elements from the original. well rounded in the house! next up is skeleton grin by donga & blake + richta. this original composition features vocals by donga over an intense and metallic techno-esque bass and kick. we are true believers in the power of a b-side and this is no exception.
mala received an email from james blake saying >i ve just done a remix<. this harmonimix was attached. after almost 3 years of only mala and james playing this piece of music as an exclusive dubplate to their audiences in dances across the world, they have finally decided to give his remix a release. do not sleep on this!
combining his heart-piercing songwriter side with a skyscraper of soaring electronics , he takes the listener surfing on an emotional sine wave, an electronic soul testament that earmarks him out as the successor to the thrones long since vacated by massive attack and the aphex twin... two years after his debut album took uk bass culture down previously unimagined roads of introspection, james blake returns with the epic * overgrown*, an incredible album that sees james growing as a singer and songwriter while at the same time returning to the brain melting electronic perfection of his early releases on hemlock and hessle, moving way beyond any post-dubstep pigeonholes to include stunning reinterpretations of both hip-hop and house
ex-roll deep member trimbal aka trim and james blake under his ever elusive harmonimix alias are set to release confidence boost on september 24 through r&s records. for over two years these tracks have been lusted after on forums and blogs by fans of both artists. now in 2012, when they finally see a release, each track still sounds as fresh and groundbreaking as they did back when they first emerged. this also marks the first official release for any of jamess harmonimix tracks outside a number of tracks floating around in the ether of youtube and a limited run of white labels. on >confidence boost< trims vocals are pitched and twisted over gliding chords and a beat that harks back to the dark basements of plastic people where jamess musical journey began. whilst over a classic grime rhythm and shuffling stabs of white noise trim’s half rapping half talking flow swaggers across >saying< with the track building to syncopated crescendo before descending into an intense sub workout.
nice price deal !!! cave paintings 4 arrives, late of course and as with all cave paintings 12inches from now on, mastered from tape for maximum fidelity and pump. 4x flies into hypnotic techno territory. big drums, big bass and big synth strings creating a rollercoasters in outer space vibe. 4y brings some house/garage swing and wild pitch atmosphere into the cave paintings equation, introducing elements found in andys recent contribution as slazengers people to the spargel trax release into a long, tracky cave paintings workout
blake baxter remix of the year djmag (germany) (vinyl only) ... tolle sause von den sypathischen >the glitz< .. da kann der sommer kommen. urgestein blake baxter (ur / disko b / tresor ...) hat einen tollen, timeless remix gezaubert. toll!

r&s finish off another excellent year with a brand new ep from james blake. his cmyk and klavierwerke releases for the label are widely regarded to be amongst his best work, and these three new tracks will further his reputation as one of the finest auteurs working in electronic music today.
this is strictly limited to 5.000 copies worldwide.
nice price deal !!! the third, somewhat overdue, installment of andy blakes cave paintings series finally sees the light of day. all the cave paintings releases are one-take analogue excursions constructed by machines and recorded live in new cross gate and mastered for vinyl in hackney.3x is a close cousin of 2y.a simple but dramatically effective warmly buzzing bassline is clambered all over by layers of interlocking pure analogue percussion.machine funk meets the locking crew for a warehouse showdown.3y heads into thus far uncharted territory. an evil, growling lfo driven bass underpins militaristic percussion thats slammed hard into ancient spring reverbs and accompanied by the sound of synthesisers being choked to death. heads down strobe-lit dancefloor action.
a few days ago james blake premiered a new track, a collaboration with bon iver called >fall creek boys choir<, and now its been announced that the track will be included in an upcoming ep from blake called enough thunder.
we now also know that the ep is due out october 10 on atlas and will feature blakes cover of joni mitchells >a case of you<, as well as four other new tracks from the electronic singer-songwriter wunderkind.
james blake returns to the label that gave him his debut release with two brand new sub heavy club tracks. hemlock were responsible for his air and the lack thereof single back in 2009. neither >order< or >pan< have appeared on blakes soulful, electronic self-titled album from this year, the new material sees the return of blake into the more sparse, experimental and wobbling bass heavy sound of his earlier work
slamming three track ep, first track afro acid is a raw, noise (distortion effects) and dirty sounding with live feeling, not made for high fidelity people, really really raw... flipside is more for deep & jackin house lovers, especially b2 (freedom) is just a deep house masterpiece
systematic recordings with a strictly limited new series of 10 inch records with unreleased trax and remixes of their artists. whitlabel with stamp only. this time its >muzik<, one of the big records of the label this year, with a brand new blake baxter remix and a vocal reduced kink dub mix! be quick!
nice price deal !!! second in the all-analogue cave paintings series where raw machine funk workouts are very much the order of the day. >2x< takes up where 1y left off and adds a sinister backwards-sweeping synth line to turn heads to jelly while the limbs carry on jacking to the syncopated percussion and insistent one-note bassline. >2y< is all but completely enveloped by a warm, deep, resonating bassline which is so wall-to-wall that it leaves plenty of room for the intricate, interlocking percussion to create a body-hypnotic groove. cave paintings - letting the machines decide.
