nice price deal !!! a key milestone in the labels discography. the ep begins with a cool drifting taste of modulated pads, rhythmic guitar and simple drum work. highlighting a bit more of a funky disco groove, atlantis is a liquid soul jam for the ages. the beat picks up with count down to zero, as an uber progressive hypnotic loop track gets lost in the smooth key stabs. the tribal vibe picks up with dont look down, adding some more percussion, slow attack synth chords and crazy rhodes melodies. gabriel slows things down to a lazy dubbed-out house cut full of succulent strings, charismatic claps and middle-eastern harmonies. great for the late-night club slot or an introspective headphone listen, this solid ep is a sure fire success!
