x/oz is proud to announce our newest addition to the family: waage. waage exploded onto the scene in 2017 with his debut release w which was critically acclaimed and sat on top of the juno techno charts for two months before selling out. the ep was also selected as one of juno s techno releases of the year. now he s back with w2, a continuation of the w series. a rhythmic, haunting, yet danceable piece and a worthy continuation to his celebrated debut.

w is the much-anticipated debut album of waage, a young & exciting reykjavik-based producer. his debut ep offers a spacious, texturally intoxicating and hypnotic minimal techno a journey through rhythmatic musical landscapes.aw1 is a ode to basic channel a propulsive, yet delicate, mantra. the repetitive nature of it will take a hold of the listeners and project them into previously unknown state of mind. w6 is reminiscent of some of the finest works of legendary icelandic techno producer exos, who happens to be the mentor of this young up and coming artist. the whole ep is driven by curiosity and passion, and despite some obvious influences manages to offer something fresh and exotic for the adventurous music consumer.athule records is considered by many to be a pioneers in the field of dub-influenced techno music and was a starting point for many of iceland s most renowned electronic musicians.
