ltd 2019 repress - berlins sascha funke weighs in with a hard-hitting new four-tracker for tigas label. hot off his comeback on multi culti, this latest ep for turbo recordings takes the hypnotic, progressive vibe and drives it a little bit harder, leaning into every snare with precise power, carefully administering tension over the duration of professionally-paced arrangements. title-track ifa, already a weapon in the crates of funke-friends like rebolledo, michael mayer and tiga, sounds like the kind of peak-time party power youd expect those dudes to pull out in the darker hours of their deepest sets, when the soundtrack calls for more than basic, visceral limb-pumping, but full disorientation, actual mind-losing.robur rolls out of that space with minimalistic-tribalism, sounding like a mental apocalyptic march, pushing forward with intractable force, an energy which eventually relents on mz, opening up dramatically with an epic chord progression that blooms into ecstatic, piano-house. think old-school baby, revisited with bittersweet self-awareness, taking us back to a place we know well, inspiring one last dance, accessing the naive rave-spirit all-too often forgotten in the industry. finally, barkas recalls the tones and timbres from in relationen, reflecting an emotionally placid state, a sound of radiant clarity, the sound of an artist at peace with his place in the cosmos, balancing past and future, energy and stillness, mind and body.
dos attack are two childhood friends come djs and producers from madrid who ve have managed to create their own little space in the electronic music landscape. the masterminds behind cult label riverette, with releases by such exciting and forward-thinking artists as legowelt, oskar offermann, kornel kovacs, and minor science, the two are insatiable diggers to a point that they opened their own record store in the center of their hometown, named after the label. both as djs and producers, their creations are a reflection of their collection and taste – sometimes trance-y, sometimes hyperactive, always weird and wonderful, mixing the energy of late 70s new york with the good vibes of 90s rom-coms – pure love.
friendship. gratitude. music passion. turbo recordings is proud to present the feel-good story of the year with the debut release from tiga & the martinez brothers. this is a true labour of love, says tiga. two of the most refreshingly positive figures in dance music teaming with me, the heartless cynic with a heart of gold. positivity and actual quality: the best of both worlds.
ltd 2018 repress - belgiums raving george dispenses of her alias on her debut ep for turbo recordings as charlotte de witte. big room techno, dark, massive, trippy, and with an emotional character all too rare with the genre.
released in solidarity with tigas anti-tech house crusade, a silent campaign fought everyday on the streets of your hometown, blaze finds russian crypto-whiz dimitri veimar still dancing with the rawer-than-the-rawest-dog electro thats brought him to the dizzying heights of the mid-tier crags of mt. turbo mountain. throwing his weight behind what some in the media are probably already calling tigas war was absolutely necessary following the events of a recent gig in moscow. veimar opened the night by playing no fewer than three tiga tracks, which anyone whos read tigas taboos can tell you is definitely a tiga taboo. deeply immersed in the practice of pouring his own mineral water, tiga ignored the hootin and hollerin of the vips crowding the dj booth (including dennis miller and diego maradona), and proceeded to play a set entirely comprised of recordings of every embarrassing thing veimar had ever said in his life. four hours later, an emotionally-shot veimar collapsed into tigas arms, with the magnanimous label boss whispering, i forgive you, dimitri into his ear. the release also features a broken techno remix from mysterious european producer florian kupfer, who made us sign a non-disclosure-agreement dictating that we can only describe him as mysterious, enigmatic, and/or european, so well have to let the music do the talking.
the world of b. is like a giant disco ball, where she likes to dance all around and meet some friends to share some music: roger thornhill gave classic disco perfection, hysteric sent a letter from the far east, or maybe from italy, turbo boom-boom chewed a funky bubblegum song to make a housy rolling track and baerlz reworked a boogie track, just what it needed to have the righteous construction for the dancefloor.
CONSPIRACY PT.2 (2018 REISSUE OF THIS CLASSIC IN ORIG SLEEVE)

repress 2018 , please check track 3 * conspiracy orgins*, a bomb !!
- gesaffelsteins last turbo-ep set an all-time record for feedback at turbo. for a new artist to attract that kind of attention from such a broad cross-section of djs is extremely special and a clear sign that hes tapped in to something very big!
the product of a songwriting duo in the rich tradition of tiga/hulkkonen and tiga/mccartney, stay cool marks a return of sorts to the classic tiga sound, which is now the modern tiga & clarian sound. the kinda-underground acid techno grooves and magnanimously biting lyrics paint a picture so contemporary it threatens to make you live in the moment for the rest of your life. what began organically with clarian contributing material and production to tigas 2016 no fantasy required lp has evolved into a contractually-mandated partnership. having already worked with the likes of jamie principle, felix da housecat and guy gerber, the montreal-born musician is no stranger to the hot collab, but was still taken aback by the rigorously enforced freedom he enjoyed during the stay cool sessions. tiga will be the first to tell you he has no ego in the studio, and in my experience that is the absolute truth, says clarian. every idea i have, every part i write, we split the credit right down the middle.
the identity of belgian mystery man beton is a complete mystery to us. what we do know is that twin turbo owner/assistant webmaster tiga has called this record the best release of the past five years. even when you consider that tiga believes he experiences time differently from the rest of us, that still means the soundtrack of your life for the past half-decade has been straight-up garbage in comparison. since most djs wont even listen to a record if they dont like the track descriptions, we realize a lot is riding on the next paragraph. acid-electro bomb directions is a collaboration with wevie stonder, who call themselves an absurdist electronic music collective, which youd have to agree sounds like a lot of fun. meanwhile, keep breathin completely redefines the term pump-bumpin pumper, and features vocals from dance mania ghetto house legend dj deeon. twin turbo keeps puttin hot mp3s in your pocket, offering maximum value for your hard-won digital nickels. as far as we know, youve earned it.
throughout its nearly 20year heroic label s journey, turbo recordings has fulfilled its pledge to keep on lookin for the music no matter where it takes them, working with artists from cultures as diverse as sweden, finland, england, spain, scotland, mexico, australia, france, argentina, switzerland, germany, belgium, italy, the united states, israel, denmark and toronto. we realize that certain parts of the world are still underrepresented, and are working hard to correct this. our antarctic a&r guy has been asleep at the wheel for far too long, and can expect a sternlyworded e-mail any day now. all of which brings us to our newest core artist, russia s dimitri veimar. we d like to tell you we discovered him when he and his friends shot down our eurasian outreach ableton tutorial helicopter for being -too condescending, but the truth is actually much simpler. veimar is merely fluent in the universal language of floor-filling, one that transcends borders and skincrawling descriptions alike. it is a primal tongue describing a future where all communication is elevated to an endless loop of sweatdrenched clubgoers pressed tightly against the front of the stage, smiling at everything you do.
following on from 2015’s “dreamatic” ep by fm attack is the belated next chapter in mothball’s ‘turbo’ series, dedicated to the best in contemporary synthwave. sellorekt / la dreams is one of the most prolific and consistent artists in the genre, with a musical oeuvre spanning more than 30 albums. this 6 track ep has been carefully selected to make a thematically cohesive and exhilarating listening experience with maximum replay value.
woke is tigas third release so far in 2017, and was recorded at montreals lost star studios before he returned to ibiza for the summer. he started this year with eye luv u (co-produced by one half of paranoid london), his first new material since 2016s blondes have more fun, and the track that marked his return to turbo recordings. april saw tiga vs audions nightclub ep, the third collaborative release from tiga and matthew dear, and the follow-up to their mega-hit lets go dancing and the micro-hit fever. the nightclub ep featured 3 new productions: stabbed in the back (lead track), pink bells, and nonstop, and picked up heavy support from jamie jones, the martinez brothers, boys noize, dubfire, kolsch, heidi, gerd janson, erol alkan, michael mayer, and more.
turbo recordings is proud to present the kind of remix pack we’ve heard you talk about in your sleep, featuring a banging techno remix from masked man/presumed german redshape, an electro-funk jam from veteran clone machinist dexter, and two mixes (one vinyl, one digital) from rising turbo star anna that will enrich the lives of completists everywhere. label boss tiga has declared this to be his favourite release of recent times, with each track instantly plunging him deep into a persona he calls mr. goin crazy, which he describes thusly: your best friend if youre feeling the highs and your worst nightmare if you aint deep in the groove can rap his way out of any cypher naturally good at math makes his own ceramic dinnerware with insane designs and patterns
turbo recordings is proud to present a release a full year in the making. a&rÆd by turbo elder thomas von party, gender embodies the adventurous spirit of his own multi culti label, and marks a return to the kind of mega remix pack we used to make when the world was young and an alternate dub rework was all you needed to get by. germanys skinnerbox sets the template with a high-speed jungle rave banger, which is an accurate enough description but not something we would expect you to ever repeat out loud. the 12-inch also features versions by swedish nice guy axel boman, who missed the submission deadline by 13 minutes but still managed to turn in a 12-minute epic jam, and glasgows auntie flo, who somehow harnessed the siren song of the iphone with a marimba-heavy mix.
stop following the mega-hit lets go dancing and the micro-hit fever, nightclub marks the third release from techno truth-tellers tiga vs. audion. to announce the ep, tiga recently gave a lengthy audio press conference while driving a turbo company car all the way down to city hall. a partial transcript follows: on the inspiration living in contemporary society? it’s a joke. but whats no joke is that rough times call for rough customers, and this ep finds two top techno producers in the mood for ballsiness, reflecting the times with a harder-edged sound, harder-edged artwork, and harder-edged calls for our leaders to remember that the dance floor was built on unity, plurality, and unshacklable animality.
seasoned memory athletes will no doubt recall the turbo’s past affiliation with the former soviet union (proxy, tiga tigayevich khristorozhdestvensky), and recent geopolitical developments have prompted the label to once again hedge its bets. our a&r team spent countless hours sifting through layer after layer of russian underground music, a shocking amount of which turned out to be fake soundcloud accounts from producers based in florida. in fact, our best intelligence suggests that dimitri veimar may be the only person making music in russia today. for the 30 minutes a day he is not trading in politically moderate twitter-bot futures, veimar produces dark, raw-dog electro. he has already released music with omnidisc and renate, so it makes little sense to us why we have to communicate with him via a mole in the canadian embassy in moscow, which is further complicated by the fact that the mole is also an aspiring dj/producer whom we have to keep happy at all costs. you have no idea how much has been sacrificed in order to shield you from the realpolitik of international dance music.
after remixes for mark broom on his label beard man, for s-file and ben long s record on decoy, we are proud to present the brand new single from turbo turbo. 2 excellent techno tunes that blow the dance floors all over the world away. the two german brothers bernd and manfred hit with their techno sound the current nerve of the club scene. we hope that you are as much excited as we are about this new release from turbo turbo. pick up you favorite track and play them loud!
tiga is back to tell you what youve always needed to hear with his new single eye luv u. co-produced by one half of paranoid london, the new single harnesses all the pure source energy of what enlightened club-goers often describe as their favourite emotion. the title came to me while i was playing a pyramid that had been converted into a multi-purpose event space, says the canadian dj/producer. the hieroglyphics over what is now the coat check made me imagine a world in which pictures could mean words and words could mean anything. the thing about wordplay is that its fascinating to conceive of different realities informed by different systems of meaning, and how each reality would invariably bend to vault me to the pinnacle of all possible worlds. its humbling, really.
this release - a collaboration between ali x (alphonse from azari & iii) and mexicos theus mago - turns the heat up all the way to on and just leaves it there. the lyrical content of the title track would lead many to use descriptors like sexy, sleazy, and steamy like you wouldnt even believe, and while the music also bears that out its important to remember not to stigmatize something that almost everyone does at least a couple of times a week. vision, meanwhile, offers the perfect b-side accompaniment, a sci-fi techno workout where you dont even have to think about sex if you dont want to. the ep features dub versions of both tracks for more stripped-down club sets aimed at people who understandably have problems with the sound of the human voice. it also includes a remix by curses, whom we recently bumped into (he says cornered) in berlin and asked if hed provide one of his trademark eerie downtempo excursions. long story short: he said yes.
the latest single taken from no fantasy required, blondes have more fun exemplifies tigas knack for deceptively deep songwriting and lush production. it is accompanied by a trio of remixers from contemporary electronica royalty: prolific swedish producer on-the-rise on part 1 jonas rathsman, running back boss gerd janson and and international house and techno breakout du jour, the black madonna on part 2.

turbo recordings is proud to present the definitive collection of remixes for planet e, tigas collaboration with hudson mohawke from this years no fantasy required lp. in fact, were so proud and excited that were going to jump straight into blow-by-blow trackdescriptions while the passions hot. 01 dense & pika remix hypercolour label boss alex jones and chris spero (aka glimpse) deliver what canresponsibly be called one of the years biggest chart-topping smash remixes. this wasalso released on counter records as part of tigas album deal, so at worst you have aspare copy for your bomb shelter. 02 danny daze polyester mix we have been trying to get this miami-based producer on the label for years, and thisremix is the closest weve gotten so far. sometimes life is about compromise, and if youget enough future-italo-electro hits like this one you may be lucky enough to forget whatyou wanted in the first place. 03 mele remix dont you ever dare say that turbo doesnt care about young uk producers. until youstop for good, well keep tapping talents like mele, whose love of brazilian beats, classichouse tracks, and trans-atlantic hip-hop shine through on this mix. but while genre checklists are great and vital and exciting and so much of the reason we do what we do, its the music thats the pudding youll find your proof in.
after the success of the leitzeiten ep from turbo turbo last year, we release now for the very first time this digital bonus track inner walls in combination with a fresh new remix from dan curtin. dan curtin better known with releases on strictly rhythm, peacefrog, sinewave, sublime, mobilee, paper, epm and his own label metamorphic and of course with his side project purveryors of fine funk (peacefrog records) delivered us a typical dc acid bomb. this mix is a pure bomb on the dance floor. together with the amazing original version is this record a sure player for every house and techno lover. we are proud to release this both great track son one 12inc. this record will be available on vinyl only, not as digital release.
the turbo debut from gilmer galibard is a collection of four dark, visceral techno floor-destroyers from a young canary islands-based producer about whom we know relatively little. it also marks the labels first release to feature a swear in the title, offering a foreboding glimpse of the paranoid machine-driven warehouse terror contained within. by now you will have heard the demo in its entirety and are still dancing whether you want to or not. for my purposes, you will use the search engine optimization terms dark, visceral, techno, floor-destroyers and paranoid machine-driven warehouse terror to ensure that it finds its way to the 83 people who need to hear the release through this specific channel. you may tell people i am 26 years old and from the canary islands both facts are true and sound comforting enough but as you now know this does not matter. print this in its entirety and leave the release title unchanged. i would say ive said too much but that is impossible because as youve come to understand all of this has already happened.
MAKE ME FALL IN LOVE (EDU IMBERNON, PROSUMER REMIX)
12" Vinyl D04.10.16
tiga is a pioneer of canadian electronic music. he is not one to shy away from new sounds, and is somewhat a veteran of half a dozen different music styles. his latest album phenomenon ‘no fantasy required showcased his eclectic, individual and much-loved production style. his original single ‘make me fall in love oozes with groovyness and has been remixed by benny benassi, audion and prosumer for digital release last april via counter records. alas - the make me fall in love 12? vinyl ep arrives on turbo recordings september 30th, featuring the aforementioned prosumer remix and exclusive edu imbernon & extended mixes. the new remix from edu imbernon is clean, lean and punchy - edu comes through with the deepness while maintaining a certain degree of energy that he has become know for in his latest productions. a delightful, almost ethereal mixture of synth and vox takes this jam deep into the night, and is bound to become an ibiza closing anthem.
cliff has clearly been smoking something special. all it takes is one of his richest efforts to date, and that’s saying a lot coming off a consistent roll of terrific releases. a-side devotion answers the ep titles question with a masterclass in heavyweight groove-building. its an instant cult anthem, gritty but buttery compression, warm, wet bass, driven forward by stoner-friendly organ solos and the vocal call. its a perfect afterhours gear-shifter, squelching with the sweat of one hundred thousand hours of studio jamming and countless seasons of acid. bring raw authenticity to any dj set. this is dance-floor tested, trainspotter approved.
support by ben sims, dave clarke, luke slater, mark broom, truncate, rolando, dj hyperactive, dax j, cleric, marcel fengler, jay denham, roman lindau, dan curtin, kyle geiger, electric rescue, paul mac, submerge, roberto clementi, danny tenaglia, s-file.. massive new single from the turbo turbo brothers!
young artist charlotte de witte continues to bolster a credible catalogue of tough, no-nonsense techno with the introduction of her second solo ep for tigas extolled turbo label. with a recent nod from alan fitzpatrick who included her weltschmerz (melodic theme) in his recent fabric mix she is an artist with a penchant for dark and moody atmospherics.
freamon is a denizen of the modern world, allegedly hailing from ny, according to some, not relevant, says he. what matters is the music -in this case- three finely honed and carefully crafted dancefloor gems, presented together as “the black grid ep”, served up with love the way they used to be, the way they ought to be.
TURBO KID (CHRONICLES OF THE WASTELAND) O.S.T. (180G 2X12 LP)
2x12" Vinyl lp D22.02.16
madrid-based producer main hope has been recording music for over a decade, but only now decided to release some of it, kicking off the brand new turbocapitalism imprint. blending heavy influences from the original techno and house masters, the electronic music pioneers of the 70s, the work of laurie spiegel, the sound of the buchla synths, main hope is about complex harmonies and rhythms.
