sting gelingt mit dem in den londoner abbey road studios aufgenommenen -symphonicities--programm ein echtes kunststück. denn sowohl seine neuen und lyrischen komposition als auch ein new-wave-klassiker wie -next to you- - einst das erste stück auf dem police-debüt-album – fügen sich wie selbstverständlich in die soundsphäre der aufnahme. hier passt alles zusammen, persönlichkeit und idee, klang und ambiente, konzept und umsetzung, so dass -symphonicities- trotz des großen künstlerischen aufwands nichts von seiner authentizität verliert. das ist weit mehr als crossover und liegt nicht zuletzt auch an dem eingespielten team, das sting zur seite steht. denn sowohl das royal philharmonic concert orchestra unter der leitung von steven mercurio als auch die sängerin jo lawry als gast haben mit ihrer kompetenz dazu beigetragen, dass dem star des erwachsenen pops ein weiterer schritt in richtung stilistischer individualität gelungen ist.

here it is... a project i unofficially had done since 06Æ. it started when dilla passed february of 06. to cope with the death of my unofficial musical mentor & favorite producer, i started making donuts, uncontrollably. i never planned to release any of the material out of respect for dilla & his craft. iÆve shared some of the music with others, in which they would constantly ask me to hear it, so i decided to put a lil sumthing together and make it official. just for yall. this is a collection of beats i made in 06. some donuts style, some just around that era of 14kt beats. now & laters was always a favorite candy of mine. i used to go to mindells pharmacy in ypsi back in the day and buy all of them. sadly i even stole change from my grandmaÆs (rip) purse for them. ironically, i fell back in love with now and laters around this era. enjoy. 14kt

der 28 titel umfassende soundtrack wurde von rob zombie produziert und enthält 8 exklusive tracks, die von zombie selbst mitgeschrieben und zum teil auch aufgenommen wurden mit der zusammenarbeit von john five, bob marlette und chris “zeuss” harris. auch andere bekannte songs von künstlern wie z.b. james gang, lynyrd skynyrd und the mamas and the papas sind auf der platte enthalten.
