tribal pulse is 5 years old, and we re celebrating with a special series of vinyl and compilation releases, and parties in some really insane locations, including a unique birthday celebration in the beautiful highlands of scotland. first up we have boom merchant s i see the future available on 180g vinyl and containing contributions from italian slammin techno kingpin johnny kaos and maltese 303 sniper acidulant. the title track is a morphing, energetic futurist techno cut. a powerful, bass-driven groove works alongside complex analogue percussion sequencing and growling distortion before detroit-style chords and atmospherics move in to take you higher, before slamming you back into the dark groove once again. this one is a real bomb waiting to go off. for sub mission boom merchant combines forces once again with johnny kaos, and in keeping with the theme of the ep, the results are dark, distorted and full of flavor. the track roars through lashings of sub and relentless machine bleeps, drums and noises, jumping in and out of breakbeats with a monster reese bass chasing you down from start to finish. to round off the ep, acidulant does what he does best, stripping the original back to its bare elements, looping the vocal and creating a roland-heavy roller full of squelchy goodness. we see the future, and we are bringing it to you on wax. we hope these tracks put a smile on your face.

for the sixth instalment in our catalogue we are extremely happy to be welcoming two new faces to the tribal pulse family. during our label showcase at last years amsterdam dance event, sonic union from sweden and khen from israel voiced their intentions to collaborate on writing a track in the specific style of tribal pulse. the week before our showcase at this years ade we have the privilege of releasing it, and we think you will agree that they have hit the nail on the head.

glasgow based imprint tribal pulse launches this july with temujin by boom merchant, backed with a remix from pole folder. boom merchant was born in ireland, raised in spain and now resides in glasgow, the hometown of tribal pulse. merchant grew up on a diet of detroit techno, house and generally futuristic forward thinking sounds, which is evidently apparent in his own productions. tribal pulse therefore is a fitting home for this new release, as the label sets out to deliver deep, pulsating electronic rhythms designed for the dance floor.

following his recent roland tb-303 experiments for absurd and his understated reworking of scubas the hope, berlins recondite has put together the debut release on boutique-label trolldans, based in the city of kontra-musik.
