the torino scale ... is a way of gauging the potential damage that may occur in the event of an impact from asteroids or other objects from space. as the richter scale measures the strength and potential damage from earthquakes, the torino scale is used to measure the potential for damage from objects striking earth. it is all about impact... but it is also about beginnings, as scientists discovered that primal dna might have been carried to the earth by an asteroids collision with earth. the torino scale is the debut solo album from berlin based producer and supersoul recordings head xaver von treyer, aka xaver naudascher. the result is astral pop music that swirls around the idea of beginnings, ends and aggregate states, whilst staying true to the known supersoul sound - strong connections to dance music (krautrock, italo, chicago and detroit) without being nostalgic or exclusive to one style.

the second of the untld protagonist series, by furz, savours the spirit of alfred tailor, an influential figure in the development of the bright young artist, whose first ep is strong and smooth, with raw energy, sultry and primal. the title track is remixed by laurine frost, who inspired by the south american hypnosis of the artist, takes it further, developing the dialogue and deepening the percussive structure, whilst maintaining the mystique and spirit of alfred tailor. the second original work on the record, entitled torino soul is an ode to the automobile of alfred tailor, it opens serenely as if racing through the valleys of cordoba s horizon, scenery rushing by on a hot day. amidst this, the mechanical metal of the engine revolves in it place, as we are rushed forward, and the voice heard a memory both of the machine and the man, alfred tailor.

italians do it better owner/traveling dj salesman/heavy record collector mike simonetti takes an edit to three very obscure 90s house tracks. we were able to recognize the a-side with some help. the track was altered significantly and intro extends and builds and builds and builds... the two tracks on the b-side sound like 90s japanese piano house and a happy house rave track flipped on 33 but to be honest, we have no idea what they are.

nice price deal !!! raisani records very hot from the summer drops a hot four track sampler with peak time tunes to tunes on the deeper side of house. aston martinez whose 2004 track seduction on mighty defected label made some big noise and even bigger with his follow up twisted on roger sanchezs stealth label and now he is back with his latest single on raisani with my lost soul, a deeply thumping track topped with wicked synths and spaced out keys. dubais own raisani & guidera, who remixed roland clarks deep in house is here with their first single french orgasm, a heavily pumping track with catchy synths that will take the bigger rooms by storm. shake the black star by grantorino is a funky groovin house track enriched with cool rap vocals, definitely for the hip house heads. lastly, dj pap presents its the music that features a sensual vocal by cei bei over a melancholic synth and guitar, deep yet mellow groove that is enriched with warm melodic keys. great ep, something for everybody here.
