the 14th release on tiefenrausch serves delicious dubs by no less than star_dub including a strong remix by van bonn.

tiefenrausch returns with a various artist ep. gathering three unique dub techno musicians linked through deep chords and driving basslines. while biodub and upwellings already contributed their part to the label, the new member star dub joins in with his raw vision of dub techno.

with the next and twelfth installment of tiefenrausch the dub techno label sets foot on the new continent again. the deep sea journey is joined by san fransisco based artist federsen and brendon moeller aka echologist or beat pharmacy - who contributed a remix to the three track ep. “the myth ep” represents federsen raw and analogue signature sound. warm and distorted machine noises create the pad for minimal drum patterns, bass grooves and accentuated chord echoes. on the a-side federsen shows us his unique style with “contrasts”. brendon moeller on the other hand contributes his own sound and rounds up the ep with dubbed interpretation of federsens “murmer”. the ep ends with the original version of that track. the release is designed by alex ketzer who joins in for a collaboration with the illustrators magdalena paz and florian gassmann for the next releases of the tiefenrausch label. the audio is mastered by salz music and the ep comes on 180g vinyl and shrink wrapped.

2017 repress! the third release by the dub- techno label >tiefenrausch< brings light to the unexplored depths of the bodensee. the swiss producer >idealist< presents the >expander ep<. right at the start the track >present< combines massiv drumsets and distant chords, creating a gloomy vision of the underwater world. still dreaming, our glance keeps its progressive direction. with ranges of acid sounds and grooving chords, >defective unit< on the b-side lets us resurface here and there perceiving the familiar tweeting sound of a roland. with >tail of two< the idealistfinaly sends us back, comforting and friendly leading the way. one thing becomes obvious, the >idealist< is serious about his business.

this time tiefenrausch welcomes a new artist in their dub techno family. förster joins the label with his aqua viridis ep and presents a debut with three tracks. as part of his „grün“ series, every track stands for a different vibe of the genre. the a-side comes with a pumping, reduced smasher, that definetely aims on the dancefloor. side b brings more immersed deepnes. „grün xv“ and „grün xviii“ evoke an abyss and enwind the listener with dublime deepness. all covered up by the artwork of alex ketzer and the imagery from jules vernes „20.000 leagues under the sea“.

deep dub techno music - mastered by salz music. with >the tube< the seventh release of the label tiefenrausch awakes – this time out of the hands of biodub. as a reminiscence to the early times of dub, the record comes as 7inch vinyl. in a classical but innovative manner biodub creates a tune between relaxed as well as driving beats and an irresistible deepness. the record presents one track in two different versions. while “the tube” solely bets on the instrumental deepness, “until forever” comes with the voice of ray darwin and disperses a pinch of reggae into the track. the vinyl is decorated with the artwork of alexander ketzer. he created the perfect cover referring to jules verne. 20.000 leagues under the sea – exactly the right slogan for tiefenrausch 007.

from deep down beneath the silent sea surface comes the fifth tiefenrausch release. the >rotterdub remix ep< features four producers of the direct environment of the label. frank hellmond, neurotron, schäufler & zovsky and baumfreund laid their hands on noetics >rotterdub< and opened the wide spectrum of deep underwater music. a wonderful piece of dubtechno music.

ab syndrom, the berlin duo, is coming with their third album. plastik is a bit like the coming of age album of the band. it tells stories of growing up emotionally and being played into a hard and post capitalistic environment. nevertheless you will find some quite romantic lyrics and songs between lyrical metaphors and a rough and urban reality in berlin neukölln, their neighborhood. the music on plastik is mainly a percussion driven and electronic laden journey. not your average pop arrangements but subtle compositions and laid back vocals with a certain chopped and screw twist. the bands musical projection is a most consequent advancement of their three albums and their body of work so far. bennet seuss, singer and composer is defining his own style in writing autobiographic lyrics with a certain twist to the obscure and umtransparent. a great album for sure.
