after “theory of strings (part1)” ennio colaci and fabio della torre present the second part! the first track of a-side is the one who gives the title to the whole project, - theory of strings-, a dubby groover with a funky and psychedelic feel in the vein of a more coloured and dirtier studio 1 or soundhack. the -feeling good vibe- keeps going relaxed and chill with the smart up and down mood of the track -forty degrees- while on b side minimono get drier, minimalistic and more mysterious with the subtle after-hour jam of rewind. this strong effort by fabio and ennio ends trough the cinematic atmosphere and the romantic piano notes of the gentle but raw closing act -still mine-. mind the strings!

vulnicura strings ist eine von streichinstrumenten eingespielte version von björks gefeiertem achten studioalbum »vulnicura«. um einige der arrangements einzuspielen, verwendete björk die weltweit einzige viola organista, ein ursprünglich von leonardo da vinci entworfenes instrument, dessen bau sein erfinder allerdings nicht mehr erlebte. das instrument versetzt mittels eines traktionsriemens einzelne saiten in schwingung (ähnlich einer geige), wobei die saiten durch das anspielen von klaviertasten ausgewählt werden (ähnlich einer orgel). das instrument wurde in krakau von seinem erbauer s&#322,,,,,,awomir zubrzycki aufgenommen, der damit das album zur vollendung brachte.

nach ihrem durchaus gelungenen und erfolgreichen debütalbum *hunger* (top 40 uk-charts), haben die fünf jungs von frankie & the heartstrings ihr zweitwerk fertiggestellt. ihr großartiges nachfolgewerk *the days run away* wurde produziert und aufgenommen vom suede-mitglied bernard butler, der auch bereits 2011 an dem stück *everybody looks better (in the right way)* mitgearbeitet hat. die lp erscheint inklusive cd-version des albums.
