following the ‘frequency vs atkins – mind merge lp’ (march 2017), featuring the collaboration between orlando voorn and juan atkins, italian label out-er (out electronic recordings) welcomes long standing detroit producer terrence dixon for a 21 track triple vinyl pack ‘12.000 miles of twilight’, out in july 2017. this is dixon’s fifth album and follows his last ‘badge of honor’ released back in 2013. the legend has been putting out material since the mid -nineties. recognized worldwide for his visionary, futuristic sound, dixon unites ages of inspiration traversing diverse musical styles including electro, jazz and minimal sci-fi techno. this overall hypnotic approach can also be seen in his parallel project population one, which appeared on out-er respectively in early 2016 with two-tracker solo ‘temporary insanity ep’, as well as in late 2016 with ‘temporary insanity remixes’ which saw the label offering reinterpretations from cosmin trg, pangaea, voiski and label co-founder simone gatto. ‘12.000 miles of twilight’ remains an experimental techno asset offering a non-linear, emotionally absorbing journey into the singular experimental edge of the detroit artist, pulling the listener in all kind of directions from the opening track to the closing finale.

ok computer wurde urspr�nglich am 21. mai 1997 ver�ffentlicht, in deutschland kam das album mit etwas versp�tung drei wochen sp�ter auf den markt. das von nigel godrich produzierte werk beinhaltet songs wie -paranoid android-, -karma police-, -lucky- sowie -no surprises- und gilt damit als der gro§e klassiker der bandgeschichte. mit -ok computer- feierten radiohead nicht nur ihren endg�ltigen durchbruch, sondern auch ihre erste nummer 1 in den britischen albumcharts. zum zwanzigsten geburtstag ver�ffentlichen radiohead das gute st�ck erneut, allerdings in einer aufgebohrten jubil�umsedition. auf -ok computer - oknotok 1997-2017- befinden sich neben den originalsongs acht b-seiten-st�cke sowie drei tracks, die bei den damaligen sessions entstanden, aber bislang unber�cksichtigt blieben. das komplette material wurde aufw�ndig aus den alten analogen aufnahmen remastered und d�rfte fan-herzen im 3/8-takt schlagen lassen.

one plus one/indecisive is the 7inch release from the debut ep by melbourne band the do yo thangs a collection of sensual slow jams and bumping future soul dominated by rich, four-voice harmonies. one plus one is equal parts performance and programming, drawing from a broad palette of live instruments and electronic sounds. at the front, hugh and audrey alternate lead vocal duties, supported by harmony singers maddie otto and tiaryn griggs. backing them, the guitar sound is classic soul but the plethora of synthesizers and 808 kick drums is definitely not, nodding equally to vangelis or hiatus kaiyote. the more you listen, the more intricacy is discovered. the writing uses jazz elements and odd rhythmic devices, but it s all tucked away - theres nothing that intrudes into the foreground or interferes with the song s abilities to speak to an audience
