das kingston all stars projekt wurde von einigen der talentiertesten musiker kingstons ins leben gerufen um den glorreichen tagen des reggae s tribut zu zollen. angeführt von moss raxlen hat sich ein illustrer kern legendärer sessionmusiker wie z.b.drummer sly dunbar (sly and robbie), bassist jackie jackson (supersonics, beverley’s all stars, toots and the maytals), gitarrist hux brown (lee ‘scratch’ perry, now generation, the revolutionaries, compass point all stars) und keyboardist robbie lyn (now gen, peter tosh, robbie & sly) zusammen gefunden um dieses projekt in angriff zu nehmen. mit einem begleitenden, etwas später erscheinenden, dub album und einer reihe von live auftritten in verschiedenen ländern ist das album nur der beginn der kingstion all stars.
