no fancy business class air lounge mumbo jumbo this time, no.8 just got clearance for take off and this one is first and foremost for the pilots. the a side hits you loud and direct like a cessna centurion engine, accessible, reliable and just damn good in the air. now if b1 is some kind of an adventurous but gentle doppel-decker, manoeuvrable­ small craft, then low altitude b2 breaks the cloud cover to take you on that magic night-flight you might later be uncertain if it ever really happened. limited edition - vinyl only !

vessel no 6 is airborn and your cabin crew serves you three gems on wax, road-, air- and space- tested throughout the last six months. a1 is a straight groover with an undeniable feelgood vocal, carfully rearranged for your dj needs. first officer nebraska joint ventures the record on b1 with an emotional, ever building piece of jazz funk and reminds us once more of how the art of editing has to be approached. with so much hoopla already going on, b2 leans back, happy to strip it all down and hitting us with a break that starts, floats, and then, lucky audience, just dont stop. dont stop, dont stop, over and out.

still above the clouds, team skylevel picks up a fellow pilot and drops a package that is all about the raw essence. a1 is a thrilling jazz funk onslaught that hits you hard right from the beginning. an energetic uptempo groove meets the most wicked guitar patterns, teasing with beautiful melody fragments while clearly focusing on its irresistable rhythm section. no jazz on b1, but an uncompromising barebone funk stomper of the highest order that locks you in a cell made of drums and bass holding the promise that you wont find >disco< within a five mile radius. b2 obviously has to reduce the heat and takes you on a ride through the swampy mississippi delta of the early seventies, telling you a truly mystic sunflower county story you might not have heard by now
