unflinching and dead set on imposing his outlandish take on so-called dance music, shinobys been steering his ship on his own ever since his first 12inch hit the streets back in 2015. following up to a handful high pressure eps released via his proactive personal platform istheway all geared towards turning the club into a bastion for weird, terror-friendly experimentation, the verona-based producer struck back earlier this year with his debut album celestial bliss, a mazy and fascinating introduction to the world further displayed on his sophomore full-length r.i.s.e. which will undoubtedly stand as a watershed for the proto-tech / off-axis electro troublemaker

the album includes the most direct and propulsive shinoby material yet. there is a functional connection to dance music here, honing in on the celestial bliss s human element embedded within a sound fraught with inhumanity.the music is emotional, hostile, dark, grungy, dissenting, acidic and energetic. mostly based on repetitive patterns, the distorted yet perfectly balanced percussion drills through the concrete warehouse walls long into the night. the not occasional use of distortion brings the dense atmosphere to near suffocating limits.

driven by the common 80 s diy-attitude, the 4th istheway release happens to be a cooperation for an absolute one-side vinyl, shinoby vs hypnobeat (james dean brown + helena hauff). the one-track (9:19min) is rooted in the concept of a -neo-tribal” approach, compressing electronics into an emotional, hypnotic and rhythmic core. the energy and the emotional impact of polyrhythms and the track turned out to be centered around the inimitable sound of the roland tr-808 plus a wide range of analogues gear including up to eight synchronized rhythm machines. vinyl only!

a couple of years ago, the young italian producer known with the name of shinoby got in touch with parris mitchell and started collaborating with him. in a very short time one of the tracks they wrote together was released along the remaster of -all night long-on wicked bass, and another one he wrote on the juke joints vol. 2 ep on deepmoves. istheway is the name of the label he founded to release the music he has been producing in the shades of verona, focusing on the music itself and not wasting time and efforts on fancy, superfluous stuff. on the first release of the label, his lively and solid dancefloor oriented tracks has been remixed by the analogue cops (restoration records) and the detroiter mgun (underground resistance) who have further modeled an essential combination of late night cuts with their trademark basement edge. vinyl only!
