route 8 and s olbricht are both highly regarded artists in their own right, but less light has been shed on their collaborative endeavours as ste pwri tmod. largely lurking around the go! finger label, this second instalment of selected works is taken from the album of the same name, giving a proper vinyl outing to some of the stunning tracks previously confined to cassette. -when i pictured myself- is a wonderfully laid back jam peppered with personality at every juncture, while -horriflowers- takes a more uneasy trip into machine techno led by a growling synth. things cool off considerably on the dubby -nirrimi- and then -strobes- rounds the record off with a brooding, wavey cut for dark, romantic dancers to lose themselves in.

the third from farbwechsel and the first one from route 8 is back on vinyl. mental murder ep is a lo-fi jack gem with four tracks from the prince himself and a remix from the houston-based house wizard miguel flaco. mental murder is a fateful stab wound with a blunt, rusty knife straight to your brain, which causes a kind of lobotomy happiness.

following two seminal eps for lobster theremin and a breakout debut for nous, route 8s *dry thoughts ep* gets a wavy rework. gone are the title track and b2 and in is *relaxed*, a summer house anthem that slams from the high heavens. eagle-eared lt fans will spot what this track was in its previous guise, the rest can just sit back and be cuddled to death by warm synths.

a new player on the tape hiss roster again. with his unique attitude rdma leads the way in keeping the labels repertoire diverse. peculiar vibes are mixed with heavy drums, sharp hi-hats and dreamy textures. the first ever remix in the history of tape hiss is featured on this release delivered by route 8 adding some extra depth and yet another vibrating component.

the unsung hero of salt002, 92 spacedrum orchestra, debuts his first full length outing on the “hybrid rhythm ep”. laser beam pads and idm drum programming make for a formidable combination. immersive space exploration and distant, muffled cave sounds paired up with a wonderland dub from route 8 drags the extended player deep into the wormhole.

dark. loud. immersive. lÄrm, or >the black box< as hungarian clubbers started to call it is most definitely the hottest spot in budapests electronic music scene right now. the club now turned to local house-techno heads to create its first vinyl release with names such as imre kiss, route 8, andras toth or s.olbricht as a mission statement and the result is just like what they imagined: a compilation of 13 varied tracks from classic drum machinery through acidic house to toned-down thumpers which demonstrates the very attitude of lÄrm.
