der gehypte britische produzent ross from friends veröffentlicht ep auf flying lotus’ brainfeeder! der britische produzent ross from friends aka felix clary weatherall ist das neueste signing bei flying lotus’ brainfeeder-familie. der 24-jährige hat schon eine handvoll releases auf dem buckel, die im endeffekt die logische destillation seiner zahllosen einflüsse aus u.a. der cut & paste-kultur des hiphop, aus 80er-eurodance, hi-nrg, italodisco und unwiderstehlich rauen dancefloor-tracks. er debütierte 2015 bei breaker breaker, woraufhin veröffentlichungen bei lobster theremin und auf ihrem schwesterlabel distant hawaii, bei magicwire (dem label von produzent lone) und zuletzt molten jets folgten. 12 inch: limitierte schwarze 12” standard vinyl in weißer hülle mit sticker.

from the knowledge gained on our expeditions, we are able to track down the jets fired during each unique eruption and share them with the people of this majestic orb.
the first squirt led us to the yard in hackney, where ross from friends performed live for one of the first few times in his already sparkling career.
>from the performance came a track called ‘champagne’, a wave of sax washing over you accompanied by plinking guitar and of course those fuzzy hi hats that go right to your head.
this track could previously only be experienced by seeing the trio play live or by watching our documentation of the performance, until now.

after making some serious waves over the past 12 months with the cult hit talk to me you’ll understand and following with an epic three-person live set, this third ep and sophomore release for the lobster family expands on the rff sound whilst stretching the sound pallet back to encompass the rawer end of the spectrum as seen on his debut for breaker breaker.

the second 12inch part of damian lazarus & the ancient moons – remixes from the other side project, the tracks from the compelling artist album message the other side have been reinterpreted by an assortment of producers for a remix album. this second remix 12inch, remixes from the other side (part ii), featuring remixes from juan atkins and kimyon huggins, kölsch, drumtalk and gorgon city. 2015 saw damian lazarus create his most ambitious project to date in the ancient moons, producing a full-length album ‘message from the other side co-produced by james ford (simian mobile disco, arctic monkeys, florence & the machine), with a wide assortment of vocalists and collaborators from around the world. they went on to support roisin murphy on tour
