»scum« ist das debütalbum der britischen grindcore-band napalm death aus dem jahre 1987. es gilt als eines der bedeutendsten alben dieses genres und war einige jahre nicht mehr auf vinyl erhältlich. das album wurde im fdr (full dynamic range) verfahren komplett neu gemastert und erstrahlt damit in neuem glanz.

elektroakustische traumklänge: debütalbum des musikprojekts aus island.
das tonik ensemble ist das musikalische projekt des isländischen grafikdesigners anton kaldal Ágústsson. seine klangbilder sind eine mischung aus elektronik und analogen klängen und spiegeln die breite palette elektronischer musik. zusammen mit einer reihe hochbegabter mitmusiker und sänger entstand tiefer, atmosphärischer, dabei aber sehr souliger pseudo-techno. auf dem album “snapshots” sind u. a. die isländischen sänger johann kristinsson und ragnhildur gisladottir mit dabei, letztere sang u. a. für tricky auf dessen album “maxinquaye”.

airbird & napolian sind das länderübergreifende produktionsduo joel ford (ford & lopatin, ejecta) und ian evans (napolian). die jungs trafen sich während der arbeit an verschiedenen projekten für das angesehene software label, aber beschlossen ihre kräfte für ein kollaboalbum zu ihren eigenen bedingungen zu bündeln. das ergebnis ist eine elektrische verbindung von cosmic funk, hip hop und amerikanischem house.
