the copenhagen based label trtlnck delivers fast paced and functional techno on their fourth v/a vinyl installment. riesenfeld opens the record with ‘auto self’ and ‘white weather’, two groove heavy tracks, while resonant pole takes over the flip-side with ‘eroticism moves’, a more trancelike take on contemporary techno, followed up by modah closing the record with ‘lasue’, a suitable tool for almost any selection. all four tracks are heavily dance floor orientated and bring the sound of the copenhagen club scene on to vinyl.

the guys at pole jam vinyl have spent most of the last year involved in an undying quest to seek out new, exciting music. they would neither be stopped by the russian tundras nor the deserts of australia in their search. funnily enough, it was actually down-under they discovered sydney based duo falqo with their brilliantly chilled and melodic number across the sea . then, it really was across the sea they went, all the way to the ukraine, picking up sasha anastasov s laidback, groovy smasher sea for two . next up was a much shorter trip to moscow to collect gayana, a band very much on the rise whose since the night has been perfectly reinterpreted by pole jam s very own st. petersburg based all-stars klar&pf. pioneerball is the solo project of tesla boy s lead guitarist who makes his second appearance on pole jam vinyl. this time pioneerball contributes the stunning opening track deltaplane , a track influenced by obscure russian cinematic soundtracks. it s combined perfectly with a compelling disco groove, jazzy melodies and organic strings that will make your heart melt.

2013 repress / release number 6 from our label brings us oscar muleros latest work, proof that the new sounds hes experimenting with do not constitute at all a departure from his command of the rawest side of the purest techno. horses, oscar muleros new ep, takes us back to the mulero that the majority of the public will recognise, to the overwhelming sound that has led him straight to the top over the past two decades. the record opens with like a wolf: broken drum beats, sharp hats, fm basses and dynamic white noise drones whose energy never falters throughout the track. horses, the second track, gives the record its name and offers intricate rhythm programming, dark atmospheres and acid sounds that, as a whole, create a mental and hypnotic feeling. the closing track is in a silent way, which runs along similar lines to the previous two, but with less bpms and with an obsessive sequence that mutates and develops throughout the track leaving the listener with a mills aftertaste, but with a berliner touch.

glasgow based imprint tribal pulse launches this july with temujin by boom merchant, backed with a remix from pole folder. boom merchant was born in ireland, raised in spain and now resides in glasgow, the hometown of tribal pulse. merchant grew up on a diet of detroit techno, house and generally futuristic forward thinking sounds, which is evidently apparent in his own productions. tribal pulse therefore is a fitting home for this new release, as the label sets out to deliver deep, pulsating electronic rhythms designed for the dance floor.

the third and final part of the waldeschichten 12inch series highlights and expands upon pole s distinctive sound, connecting to the first two parts of the trilogy in a charming way.

approaching the end of the year, pole presents another spacey and heavy bass 12 inch. two melancholic, quiet tracks full of crackles and endless space, made for this winter. it seems that the warmth of these two tracks is glancing around a corner of a cold urban wall, just to say:s-o-o-n, and it will be summer again.in contrast to the first 12 inch waldgeschichten, with its use of full chords, this new production is marked by its use of spaces, which seems to expand until they collapse and enfold the listener. this is the second 12 inch by pole, one of a new series of releases which will end in a cd release in 2012.

pole recordings reaches its number 10 release, a work by oscar mulero. for this record, oscar has chosen to go for a more mental and elaborate kind of techno, lowering the bpms and softening his sound.

in 2010 the la based label halo cyan records re-released vladislav delay s sistol project. for this deluxe 2cd reissue various well known electronic musicians remixed the recordings from 1999. the whole project received enthusiastic reviews in pitchfork, resident advisor, etc. one of the remixers is mike huckaby, who transferred sistols track >keno< into an outstanding dubby detroit-house masterpiece. it was immediately clear that this track had to be released on vinyl. we are delighted to announce the collaboration between halo cyan and slics of life for mike huckabys s y n t h remix of keno. on the b-side, mike huckaby remixed a track originally produced in the same time period: poles >silberfisch< was released in 2000 on the highly acclaimed yellow album >3<, re-released by scape in 2008 as part of the 3-cd pole box. in 2011, mike huckaby keeps the dubby and slightly melancholic crackling atmosphere of the original, but his s y n t h remix is beams >silberfisch< straight onto the dancefloor, where it arrives as a driving deep techno track.

after a long break, pole is returning in 2011. this break was necessary for pole to find his musical direction and produce a series of new tracks, starting with this 12inch. other music will be released later this year and in 2012. with these three easy going and wonderful works, pole connects once more with his past. from his albums >1<, >2< and >3< via >pole< to >steingarten<, pole rediscovers and reworks the characteristic warmth and deepness of his sound. bass and space are at the heart of both this new release and the specially established artist label pole. the warm experimental atmosphere is grooving slow and easy, carried from the funk of an old rhythm machine and connected through poles typically endless echo chambers. >waldgeschichten< is the first of a series of releases that will conclude with an album at the end of 2012.

exium are well known for their techno adventures, spanning over more than ten years. their style is always changing shape, evolving from experimental textures to harsh rhythms and industrial flavoured beats. with this new release they give their style a new twist by making the synths the starring element of >complex<, a melodic techno number, full of harmonies, portamento leads and pulsating beats.
detroits own legendary dj rolando reworks the original version in a more percussive style, but preserving the melodies and leads. a sure floor smasher.
>the quiet man< closes this release by returning to the classic exium sound: hard drums, sharp hatzs and dense atmospheres, for the darkest fans of pure techno grooves

here comes the eighth release in the line, pressure cooked by christian wunsch. three slices of fine modern techno, but with strong roots on tradition. buried mistakes opens fire with clean drum programming and punchy beats. spacey arpeggios and subtle drones are the makings of this movie. on the flip side, complete surrender uses similar rhythm coordinates, clean percussion sounds programmed with extreme taste, constantly evolving until the strings come in, creating a sci-fi futuristic mood, perfect for techno travellers. inevitable war is the last piece slower tempo, intelligent drone work out, dark atmospheres lying on a single kick, growing to make a complex beat as the minutes go on. they call it deep techno out there. a departure from the hard edged sounds on behalf of a mental way of understanding techno.

pole records presents reekos new release. the veteran spanish techno activist brings us three tracks that look at techno from three different perspectives. cyberpunk opens the release: ebm flavoured bass, compact beats, dreamy strings and sharp percussions that make this number a direct floor workout. dystopic futures has a funkier approach, with a shaker driven percussion programming, shuffled synth lines and crazy arpeggiated high-pitched frequencies. empirical science is a futuristic techno track whose analog synths grow and evolve as the track flows, seasoned with white noise drones and a constantly evolving structure. three tracks of intelligent and hard techno for your body and soul.

after four shared releases from the all stars, here comes the first individual output in our label, handcrafted by the scientist duo exium. mantra is an epic piece of techno, based on solid rhythm foundations, joyful synth work and rolling stabs. a complex workout that demonstrates the skill of this guys in the studio. futuristic techno with roots in the past. peter van hoesen takes the original parts of mantra and reconstructs it his very own dubby and fat vein, sure to please those fans of the berghain sound out there. closing the release, lifeform its the trademark exium sound, where sharpness and love to sonic details are the starring. resume: a solid release, away from monotone affairs, made for please the ears of those who love techno in its pureness.

with our number 4 we completed the circle, releasing a seleccion natural gem on any of our producers team labels. now its number five and we have decided to release our next works under the same flag: pole.

pole folder has emerged as an intrinsic part of the emotive dance music juggernaut that has been steadily powering through club land over the course of the last few yearsà alongside djs such as guy gerber, guy j, and james holden, pole folder has been at the forefront of a movement back towards the melody rich sounds on which house music is based. his first 2 releases on label la tour garnered huge support from the likes of sasha, laurent garnier, luciano, carl cox and christian smith. this offering starts off with pole folders original, which features the vocals of sean ryan, delivering epic slabs of sound, stacked atop glitchy lo-fi drums that result in a listening experience that simply swallows you whole. the vocal whilst gritty retains a rich and lush quality that is the perfect overlay to this track.
