percebes is releasing its third record since its inception in february, well before its first birthday. bent on showcasing portugal’s most talented “under the radar” producers and musicians, the new record is authored by one of the countries most well kept secrets: early jacker. early jacker is famed music producer hugo vinagre, a master of disguise, who is also known as miguel torga or turista. vinagre has a detailed yet minimalistic approach to production as early jacker he explores pure underground house music, inspired by a dubby take on the new york house school.

the second outing from lisbon based percebes mu&#769,,sica comes from ka§par, a respected portuguese author who consistently releases on many revered deeper dance music imprints. the “epicurismo” ep is a fresh and well humored record, conceived as an homage to the greek philosopher epicurus, who widely professed a personal mantra for happiness.

sheri vari’s ‘despertardamente ep’ serves as the label’s debut and also the artist’s first time on wax. having released fine digital eps on tomorrow is now kid! and portuguese outfit labareda, and with another 12” prepared for finale sessions us, sheri vari is one of the most exciting dj/producers in portugal right now. her name is mariana, she’s in her twenties and she’s addicted to her pair of korg electribes. with them, she pumps out funky, deep, nasty and unpretentiously groovy club tracks, the likes of which you may check out on this debut ep
