cyclo not just about re-issues from our extensive back catalogue, it s also about releasing new material and looking to the future. the new oskar szafraniec aka oscar burnside -russian roulette- e.p (cyc0054) is our 2nd release from the young producer. oskar has been name checked by terry francis, ricardo villalobos , a guy called gerald and many more. he has taken his live show all over europe / the world and has rocked chalet club official, the liquid rooms (official), tresor.berlin (official), into the valley, 20hz festival, griessmuehle to name but a few. to compliment the ep we asked the legendary aubrey (solid grooves records, metroplex records) to rework russian roulette- for us
including glenn underground remix! following the immense mandela move ep from ricardo villalobos, italys deset returns for another brilliant musical adventure geared for the more discerning dancefloors worldwide.
the berlin based gel abril kicks off his new closed circuits label in a full form presenting a strong record by talented polish artist oskar szafraniec, a crafted producer, known by his latest 12” on rawax with ricardo villalobos, eps on murge recordings, cyclo or collaborations with pier bucci. for the debut release on closed circuits, oskar has collaborated with the swedish very addictive duo and has delivered his best work to date, a music piece called “borderline”, filled with lush vocals and hypnotic pads that kicks the label with a proper bang.
on the a side - the label boss himself, gel abril, turning “borderline” into a burner, with his very own distinctive groove and effected vocals, surely to be one of the main tracks for 2018! on the flip side, already mentioned original mix of “borderline” and another collaboration by oskar, this time with legendary chilean master pier bucci, bringing minimalistic experimental goodness, perfect for those special after hour moments we all love. gel abril said: “listening to borderline for the first time it just blew my mind and gave me that goosebumps feeling you rarely get with most of music out there these days, i felt very inspired remixing such an magnificent vocal, it is one for the books!”

TIPICO LATINO ALBUM SAMPLER (INCL. EL_TXEF_A REMIX)
12" Vinyl D31.05.17
vinyl only, ahead of their collaborative album later this year, pier bucci and oskar szafraniec present their first sampler titled tipico latino featuring a remix by el_txef_a. emerging in the mid 00 s, chilean producer pier bucci first appeared on cadenza with a release alongside luciano himself before dropping multiple releases on crosstown rebels, including his acclaimed album familia . since then he s appeared on get physical and rawax, not to mention launching maruca music - a platform for his own music featuring heavyweight remixers such as baby ford and thomas melchior. szafraniec has been producing under different monikers since 13 years old, releasing two solo albums, recording alongside a guy called gerald in 2012/2013, and touring as a live performer. as oskar szafraniec his production debut was a collaboration alongside ricardo villalobos two years ago, but since then he s appeared on murge recordings and cyclo, as well as collaborating with pier bucci on rawax, who oskar met whilst touring japan tipico latino features gloomy spanish vocals as intricate elements are brought in and out of the mix across its nearly nine-minute duration. subtle throbs and echoing effects are blended with metallic percussion and deep synths for a wistful and mesmerising aesthetic. forbidden colours founder el_txef_a, whose remix talents have been recruited by permanent vacation, galaktika, akbal and culprit, reimagines the original providing a drawn out intro before exploding into a frenzy of crashing cymbals, animated acid and serene vocal moans.
germany-via- artist osker offermann, the owner of leading label white presents us a quality dou-bled package on the mule, strongly effecting his meditated mindsets. as well as his dj sets, his crafted productions have a superb balance between being not too exces-sive, but not being too minimalistic - creating the dynamism which make people move, based on his own aesthetic featured with well-polished, functional electro phrases and raw machine beats. because of its floating grooves, will be nice for club use, but also surely will be a good accompany for the home-listening. oskar continually points forward us the fact, that listening to deep house is no longer meandering journey, but something meaningful and fruitful in your life.
it’s time for local talk to go local again with another swedish producer, eric ericsson. with numerous releases out in labels like planet e, fragile and freerange he’s one of those producers with one foot in the techno scene and another in the more soulful house scene. basically, he s not a one trick pony! for his release on local talk we would say he lands somewhere between classic chi-town house and thumping nyc house groove but without sounding too retro or washed out. its simply real house music! we begin with love it, a real bumpy house track with analogue basslines and swinging fender grooves that will work both stateside and in the european house clubs. the second track the chi is as the title suggest a homage to chicago with a slight old school boo williams fee. - dope! but thats not all, to give the release a broader twist we got man of the moment oskar offerman (berlin) to remix love it for us. oskar goes more deep with his trademark sound and gives us a dark mix that will sound amazing in your favourite berlin club of choice.
after excellent debut album on mule musiq, oskar is back with four remixed tracks. legendary osunlade remixed most club friendly track on the album and it’s more dj tool jazzy deep house. oskar’s buddy edward remix is simply epic.very imaginative breakbeats track. frankfurt’s bodin&jacob’s remix is kind of mash up of some tracks on the album. it’s kind of early electro stuff. metamatics is well known in the end of 90’s.we like his moniker norken. hope you dig some of remixes!
oskar szafraniec is a musician, producer, singer-songwriter and live performer from poland who lives in berlin. he s been experimenting with music since the age of 10 and has released projects under the moniker oscar burnside on various labels. collaborating with legendary uk producer a guy called gerald, oskar has also performed in many clubs and festivals next to well known artists and djs such as richie hawtin, mixmaster morris, ricardo villalobos, carl craig etc. this ep exclusively produced for cyclo demonstrates oskar s ability to develop a unique style inspired by his journeys around the world and his berlin life. whether for home listening or for the dancefloor, these 4 gems built with deep live sounds and subtle drums sequences will surely confirm the rise of a young talented artist ans producer.
ian pooley revisits his beloved 1998 lp meridian with 4 brand new remixes accompanying the much-demanded arrival of the original lp in digital formats for the first time. belfast house stars bicep apply their remix magic for the a1 cut, streamlining the pooley classic cold wait into a chunky uk house thumper which has already proven a winner in their sets, while white label boss oskar offermann delivers a subtle, grooving uk garage-inspired take on hit n run. the b side finds two alternate takes on whats your number by pooledmusic family member mathias show-b schober, whose remixes manifest themselves in a starry-eyed version that elevates the originals melancholic side, plus a stripped back beats n fx tool.

ltd vinyl only release
aira ep project concept:
musicians are with huge imagination into their creations, but they must still call on new technologies, such as roland aira, to express themselves through the sounds and fill up their music with soul, rhythm and melody, we seeks out this connections between the humans and those machines. we invite most talented musicians around the globe to let them provide new forms of music and sounds and we release it on special ep vinyl series.
the first installment in the vinyl edition of the thema compilation strength in numbers finds the new york label reaching into its deepest corners to deliver four psychoactive cuts for the most discerning of djs and dancers alike to lose themselves in. norm talley has been a mainstay of the detroit electronic music scene since the mid 90s, and the sublime, pad-enriched tones of *space talk* perfectly sum up the mysterious soul he has made his name on. damien k. sahri shares the a side with talley, and despite being a newer talent previously seen on little helpers and adltd, his slender and immersive everything joint stands up to comparison with the caliber on this record. pressing on white colored & black marbled vinyl.
its time for local talk to go local again with another swedish producer, eric ericsson. with numerous releases out in labels like planet e, fragile and freerange he is one of those producers with one foot in the techno scene and another in the more soulful house scene. basically, he is not a one trick pony! for his release on local talk we would say he lands somewhere between classic chi-town house and thumping nyc house groove but without sounding too retro or washed out. its simply real house music!
oskar offermanns first solo 12inch on white since the infamous apple crumble ep! this beautiful wax is coming along with 3 subtle deep house tracks, which reflect the hours early in the morning when the peak time is already over, and everything calms down on the dancefloor
oskar offermann and his frequent collaborator and label mate edward are two of the brightest rising stars in contemporary deep house music. as head of the esteemed white imprint, offermann has an envious catalog spread across his own label, aim, and japans storied mule musiq, edward has mostly confined his releases to white apart from a single drop on the mysterious giegling, and some outstanding remixes on other powerhouse labels. since their appearance in 2007, the pair of berliners has only one collaboration record between them in spite of a close association, large individual discographies, and frequent pairings behind the decks. it is thus with great ceremony that thema announces their north american vinyl debut with the four-track ep, verses.
ltd 2013 repress !!
big with: john daly, dj hell, marcus worgull, nick curly, wighnomy brothers, jazzanova, julius steinhoff, jimpster, till von sein, dionne, p.toile, trickski, carsten klemann, dave dk, sevensol, anthony collins, michael reinboth, christopher rau ...
ok, first of all i want to reveal a myth: these infotexts are mostly writtenby the labelowners themselves, not by hard-working editors. so what happens, when the guy behind a label releases his own music? well, either he is a well-organised deadline-machine and he asks somebody capable of doing this stupid job, or he realizes:
>oh fuck the distribution whats to do their work and they needed thissheet weeks ago...< so in the end, hes gotta do it himself: of course, now i could tell you how great this record is (what it is!) and what ahell of a motherfucker i am (also true!)... but i prefer telling yousentimental other bullshit instead... :)
this ep marks a newbeginning in my career. since some time now, >the fog burns off< and we get more and more stable in the buisness. last year we were on the road quite a bit and we found many new friends. people from other cities, who believe in the same things, who do similar stuff and who are of the same kidney as we are. so that makes me very happy, which reflects in the music. for the first time i feel like coming home, although we are at the beginning of our journey into the industry yet.
oskar offermann is the boss of berlin based label white. you know their quality deep house output. title track on a side is a good mixture of early new york house sound and nu school german deep house sound. if you are following the release of smallville or laid, you will like this song. on b side, >technicolour dreams< on b 1 is more detroit house manner, it is rough and tough. b2 is a dj-tool version of a side.
after several appearances on the label, kareem comes up trumps again with an excellent first solo single release backed by a wonderful remix from white doyen oskar offermann himself.how low can you go the opener track acts as a discreet, structured, driving and some how dubby house tune that keeps a nice layer of grit beneath the fingernails. its loopy character imparts the feeling of virtually remaining unchanged but it nevertheless staidly evolves within its sonic borders and imparts a sensual quality of all-enveloping warmth. oskar offermanns interpretation of how low can you go introduces skipping melodies that are transmitted as choppy discoesque pulses and rhythmic modulated bass sounds are the preferred form of punctuation. indeed the remix is intended to be a dj tool, but like all of oskar offermanns recent house works, it builds smoothly as though every element was simply waiting in the wings to make its appearance at the proper moment, and – just before it finishes up – sounds like it could go on forever.
big with: laurent garnier, jennifer cardini, jimpster, robert owens, tristen,.. finally, its there! with two beautiful tracks by edward and a deep remix by one of the head of white music, oskar offermann, the first release of the multi-influenced house label blooming soul records is out. between house and dub, minimal and deepness, this inside out ep plunges you into the depths of the edward mind. are you ready for this hypnotic trip? dancefloor is already out of space and time, so...you must be in
big with dj koze, superpitcher, julius steinhoff, dorian paic, marc schneider, sven vt, melon any many more... maybe i should give it another chance? i could go early in the morning... maybe the party isn t the real highlight... maybe i am just longing for the condition before and after... maybe i am just tired, maybe i need a little push... who said party anyway? i did... but i also said maybe
big with: Âme, dixon, cassy, radio slave, gregor tresher, shinedoe, karotte. after the massiv feedback to their well received second release the white boys are back with another pair of marvelous tracks. white 003 delivers you all the ingredients for a long night in and out of the club. oskar offermann‘s >cherry bombs< is a sure floorfiller with a certain pop appeal. pumping straight forward minimal house with some tricky-trancy elements and a few breaks here and there to pleasure even the most sophisticated crowd. back from his journey through southern fields, edward presents us a beautiful piece of intelligent techno. >inverno< is a trip across one of those sticky summer nights, when you feel like the sweat is dripping on the inside. nervous drums and basslines will turn your mind and make your heart beat faster.
our 8th va compilation, spinning a web around fresh and old bloods alike. a1 introduces arp220, with the tripping meur maei. disembodied vocals bouncing over acid drips, scorching. a2 sees obergman stop the clock with trademark tight productions on the tuff n sucking chronostasis. on the flip, the long-elusive collaboration between xy0815 and int main rigid body sees a proper release after an ultra limited run at last year’s rye wax’s run out. the jaffa kid re-emerges after his beauté du négatif ep with intergalactic war trials, weaving thick but never cloying synth work over a stepping wicked rhythm, making it all happen & dripping for the floor’. finally, newcomer oskar telemann sees off the ep with a crafty marriage of idm and synthwave on anruf aus dem westen. chilling. 5 cuts, 5 styles, everything you need to slick the floors with out of date smoke fluid.
this latest instalment in soul jazz records’ successful deutsche elektronische musik series delves deeper into the german nation’s vaults to bring a fascinating new collection that again brings together a selection of classic german electronic and rock groups, including neu!, cluster, popol vuh, la düsseldorf, agitation free, alongside a host of rare tracks by lesser known artists which includes michael bundt, bröselmaschine, dronsz, achim reichel and others. the triple vinyl release includes a download code.
2018 repress in black double hole sleeve. after his releases for white and aim, sebastian genz aka moomin gets ready for his debut album on smallville records in late autumn 2011, this time with a remix done by his buddy oskar offermann of white. sweet sweet introduces the tenderness of moomins deep diving sound- as if a whole magic night with lovely music and beautiful people could be expressed in just a few minutes- this magician of sound and texture compresses those feelings in one single track. and with this sweet teaser moomin makes us wait patiently for the upcoming album. can we wait a little longer?
steffen laschinskis project rising sun, which consists only of himself, was very productive since the release of the last album the lamentations of rising sun. in the past two years the musician and dj was a real demon of work and he loves to work in different genres and is he very diligent. his next ep series trilogy will be released in early october, comprising three vinyls. graphic designer and art director andreas haase from hamburg took care of the design. vinyl tastes better

rue de plaisances new compilation will surprise you by its eclectism and will carry you away in an ambient gateway where tribal sounds and funk converge in harmony. composed of nine tracks, produced by artists that are appreciated by the label and its owner varoslav, the release reflects the spirit of rue de plaisance and this new double ep tells a story and tries as much as possible to create new paths in electronic music.
after 4 years of activity, this 20th release is an attempt to diversify into new horizons of electronic music as well as exploring our existing sounds through talented artists such as oskar offermann, dop or the parisian 1977... what a shot !
called * le son de rue*, this double ep refers to the youth of varoslav but also to the street he lived in as a child: rue de plaisance. for the 20 release, rue de plaisance and varoslav release an ultimate compilation. a 4th birthday to celebrate in music!
johannes albert is running a record label since 5 fun years and 20 releases. releasing his own music on vinyl but also his mates stuff. from achterbahn damour to smallpeople via jeremiah, from fred p and lauer remixes back to french youngsters ralph & larry houl. so frank will celebrate this anniversary among life & happiness early 2016 with two twelche inches and a lousy tour. starting with the lamest of all johannes himself to be followed by a bulky rework by oskar offermann. flipside ticks in with heartbreaker phillip lauer and his bottomless love for all things lohret. markus mutzenbacher hailing from würzburg in southern germany a djs dj manages to drop his first track ever. after only 15 years of being a dj. this guy is an inspiration.
