widely acclaimed techno pioneer nicole moudaber has delivered the release of her adoption ep, a two-track production on nicoles own mood label which sees the dynamic producer tackle two tracks from one of the most important innovators of dance music since the 90s, moby. first up she offers a uniquely dark and twisted rework of like a motherless child, pitching down moby s vocals to create a deep demonic sound,verging into a range of immersive textures. on the flip side moudaber spins a heavy and grinding feel on her remix of mobys mere anarchy (taken from 2018 album everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt). moudaber packs the mix with haunting melodies, with the subtle use of orchestral sounds adding a hypnotic feel to the release.an event promoter, record label founder, radio host, and one of the most passionately followed dj/producers in the world,nicole moudaber is a one-woman army marching her muscular take on techno all over the globe.

british producer zepherin saint has always been a man with a fierce passion for quality-strewn, vocal heavy deep house. a thoroughly captivating affair throughout, butterflies sees the producer return to his tribe records imprint alongside regular vocal collaborator, miranda nicole. kicking off the release is the ‘tribe vocal mix’- full of hazy, fuzzy sounds that play out beautifully. a refined house cut, it’s made all the more mesmerising by nicole’s sultry vocal contribution. a perfect foil to zepherin saint’s beats, the coming together of both is truly a joy to behold. bolstering the latter is a live mix, as well as an instrumental version, named here as the tribestrumental offering. zepherin saint is a truly exciting artist and one whose stock continues to rise thanks to his infectious-sounding, afro-tinged house sound.

crown of brahma are charles stella, nicole willis & daniel wyatt. the songs “an angel on my shoulder” & “and i’ll be free as a bird” were recorded in the period between 1995-1997, originally set for release on an lp on rawkus records in 1997. this album would have followed the release of the group, repercussions, album charmed life (pony canyon, 1997). nicole willis was the lead singer / songwriter of this group. charles stella & daniel wyatt worked together at temple of soul in new york city, where some of charmed life was also recorded. these two vocal tracks have never been commercially released, however were heard by tommi grönlund of sähkö recordings and leftfield, who requested to work with ms willis in result. the two tracks have been remastered in 2017 by charles stella.

after the release of their collaborative breed ep at the end of last summer, nicole moudaber and skin (from skunk anansie) have unveiled their highly anticipated remix package featuring a long list of respected producers. carl craig, fur coat, jamie jones, jerome sydenham, paco osuna, pan-pot and scuba, are just some of the names which have turned their hand to the project. originally born out of nicole and skin s desire to fuse their rock and techno backgrounds, this is a true collaboration project with a difference. the pair have also recently been sharing the stage at high-profile slots such as space ibiza and coachella. the first track on the second part see s don t talk to me i m dancin remixed by hot creation boss jamie jones, which features a thudding heavy bassline, and zebra katz vocals sampled over the top. the second track on the a side see s french emotive techno specialist paul ritch turns in an atmospheric, driving remix of these walls are made of water . first up on the b side is pan-pot s take on these walls are made of water , adding the duo s characteristic stomping touch, as well as dramatic new synth melodies. this remix is another nicole favourite, often featured in her sets and her in the mood radio shows. rounding off the b side jerome sydenham remixes don t talk to me i m dancin feat. zfk and takes the track into uptempo driving territory.
