repress: this is the sort of record that could only have been made by someone with a vast amount of experience. producer nick dunton has a decade s worth of releases behind him, and it shows. sketches of my life veritably skips between electronic sounds and styles. it s deeply rooted in techno and electronica and specifically the clean futurisms of detroit s belleville three but steadfastly refuses to stick to one particular groove. once offers heady dub techno enriched by cascading piano figures, lost love bittersweet electro. fallen and abandoned virtues, meanwhile, evoke memories of teenage nights lost in the otherworldly sounds of warps pioneering artificial intelligence compilations.

four tracks which move from sinister corners of life to heavy concrete walls, impossible to surmounts. blooded fists. grey skies. and everything else mrt can be. mitchell goor is someone not keen on public appearance. he works in the dark, piecing together relentless drum patterns and brooding melodies. picturing fragments of decay. the self destructive, the space in between, the tourists have lost their minds, the unfortunate, four particular moments in his life, things that changed him, for better or worse.

a new 3-track 12 by canadas solvent, known for his melodic electro and vocoder pop releases on ghostly, morr music, and his own suction records. for minimalrome, solvent debuts a new approach, so please dont expect any sweet solvent melodies this time, in fact, dont expect any melodies at all. here solvent delivers 3 tracks of pure bunker/rephlex-style acid, monotonous and pounding. fasten is the most straight-up acid track present, nothing but 707/606 percussion + x0xb0x squelch. latch and secure are more dark, abstract, dirty. secure is epic madness, clocking in at over 16 minutes, at times slow and prodding, elsewhere growling furiously in sheets of distortion. every track has been edited down from hour+ long hardware studio jams, with the computer acting strictly as a multi-track audio recorder. solvents customized acid box, a heavily modified x0xb0x, features heavily on every track, alongside classic techno boxes like the 808, 101, and pro one. limited to 250 copie
