modern obscure music welcomes sam haar to the imprint for the first album released by an artist other than label founder pedro vian. the album is entitled euso. sam haar is a new jersey born producer and sound artist. influenced by both experimentalism and traditional dance music, haar’s music is something uniquely his own. he is best known as being one half of musical hardware loving duo blondes with zach steinman (neither of them are actually blonde). they famously favour machines over computers and provide hypnotic live shows. blondes have released the majority of their discography for rvng intl., before jumping to r&s in 2017 for the more danceable warmth album.

another recent masterpiece from the rising barcelona label “modern obscure music”. this time the label is introducing a 12’’ with two long lasting analogue jams made from synthesizers like moog voyager and the mythical juno 80 on abstract rhythms created with a powerful roland 909. this is an essential record for collectors of relics focused on the club. to the mysterious, exotic and even tribal vibe, the record label adds a remix by daniel martin-mccormick, best known as ital, who has recently published his 3rd album with mike paradinas (planet mu) apart from also presenting some pieces from his own record company lover’s rock or in the prestigious workshop house. remixes by jmii and pettre, aster’s ex-band components, are also added in the digital version of it.

pedro vian is pettres new alter ego (hivern discs) and half of the duo aster (hivern discs / mathematics recordings). after releasing several tarcks in different record labels and sharing his dj sets around europe, pedro vian launches his own platform with the purpose to promote new coming artists and publish his most intimate productions. under the brand name. modern obscure music he will present his first release in mid april 2014 in an analog format.
