20/20 vision welcome nathan jonson to the label to deliver some of his esteemed beats - he was previously known as hrdvision, and as a member of midnight operator alongside his infamous brother mathew. it is in fact mj who gets the run of the a side with a bouncing, bubbly remix of -business- that calls to mind some of the most wriggly threads in that unmistakable jonson sound. -let your body- strikes a different tone on the b-side, conjuring up some rave ghosts and decanting them into a thoroughly modern club burner heavy on the dramatic arrangement and sure to create wild responses on the dancefloor. -business- in its original form is a loose and funky-as-hell electro jam with live, glutinous monosynth flex and detroit-tinted pads to die for.

a couple of months after the release of contemporary spaces, four of abstract division s tracks get remixed. and who better suited for the job than label residents stefan vincent and deepbass & ness, and dynamic reflection debutants tensal and lewis fautzi.

following his 2013 debut lp, fictitious nostalgia, beastie respond joins forces with alia fresco, silkie and circle vision to present his new ep, back to the future. as with most of his output in recent years, the danish producers indisputable enchantment of 80s aesthetics and purple nostalgia beams through the entire record, elevated by alia fresco’s soothing vocals on the glamorous title track. intergalactic soap box derby’s hectic synth work and sharp turns generate an unpredictable space race for the head nodders, while joy ryder sees beastie respond carefully mesh classic d n b programming with neonlight melodies. silkie rounds off the ep with a signature sub treatment of back to the future, navigating on a tempo not previously released by the acclaimed uk producer.

for those not in the know mater suspria vision are one of last remaining first wave of witch house, proceed without prejudice, msv were a truly bizarre one of a kind group. combining cosmic style with early krautrock experimentation, bootleg vhs and a wild sense of humour, msv have been one of our favourite groups for a long time. we’ve taken their last lp antropophagus and run it through the giallo disco filter, featuring remixes by xander harris, parasols aka ali renault, antoni maiovvi and vercetti technicolor. mastered by alek stark, art by eric lee and cdx

shake the mind encapsulates the sound of clouded vision recordings, with a long awaited single from matt walsh, backed with a remix from daniel avery. alongside the radio edit, the title track is a 7-minute trip of late night acidic techno, with a nod to matts new wave and ebm influences. the double a-sided vinyl is completed with a pounding slice of atmospheric techno and the first new piece of music from daniel avery, since the release of his critically acclaimed album, drone logic last year. dan returns the remix-favour to close friend matt after his version of free floating appeared on the drone logic remix album new energy earlier this year.

the third issue of raw waxes’ release number four is on the way. after featuring mike parker, haiku, inigo kennedy and korova as remixers of the noisemaker, this time we see abstract division and blind observatory reinterpreting ‘shuttle’, the final track of the series. shuttle starts with a fat kick and a psychedelic synth, bleep and acid elements go back and forth, up and down, appearing from the gloom of the artist’ soul. hi-­&#8208,,,hats, acid and bleep evolve together, embracing acidity and generating a naughty groove. abstract division’s reinterpretation is clearly a 4/4 dance floor oriented. based on the evolution of the acid patterns as a minded loop, the dutch duo adds 909 hi-­&#8208,,,hats and claps, modify the the kick-­&#8208,,, bass structure, reaching a trusted track for exciting moments into clubs. blind observatory’s remix is the gentle side of the record. starting slowly and lightly, the artist sets a mellow synth plus clean hi-­&#8208,,,hats, turning the production into a sweet idm caress. a personal, delicate cut appraising the entire release.

english producer ben hackman, better known to most as simply hackman has made huge shapes over the past four years since making his debut on ramp sub-label ptn back in 2010. ben has since gone on to unveil material through other reputable imprints such as greco roman, well rounded and futureboogie recordings, testament to his striking production skills and contemporary appeal. here we see ben push on adding yet another driving force in the industry to his associations, namely 2020vision

dogmatiks fine form continues with another solid 12inch from peace division, with remixes of their classic club therapy. remixes come from dan ghenacia and red rack em.

twd or the wild division records a new techno label based from terrassa (bcn) founded trough the collaboration between spear, dustertraum and miki craven. the label aims to follow a dark moody side of techno music, with simple structures and analog sounds reminiscent the old mid 90s productions. this label is the result of the work of the last three years between this three artists. the label will count with more international artists who will take part with the label signing and remixing further references.

footprintz are on a rich run of form right now, showing a craftsmanship in their songs that is so often lacking in modern day dance music. new single favourite game is set to further buck this trend when it drops on december 3rd (general release).
