with fractal s analogue assassin ep, dubliner dave hayden (alias roguefrequency) delivers four acid/techno bangers openly displaying industrial influences. jerked off sturdy analog gear, the solid 808, 909, 4/4 rythmics is skirmished by cavelike 303 acidic patterns. rearguard consists of sunless modular synths and gritty atmospheric drones. as a certificate of choice, the release has already been supported by dj s such as unwelt, errorbeauty & and. like always on kromatones, it s limited to 300 copies pressed on 140gr. 12- vinyls coming coloured, this time with transparent blue. so, obivously we got here some rather stealth yet smashing tactical cruise sonic machine!

evan reiner aka gossamer macht elektronische musik, die von hip hop, hardcore und jazz guitar beeinflusst ist. reiner studierte an der berklee school of music film-sound und foley artistry (frei übersetzt: geräuschemachen). dabei streute er dann beispielsweise sand über schlagzeug-becken, oder nutzte gebrauchte patronenhülsen für percussion, was ihm eine ganz neue perspektive eröffnete. inspiration fand er bei künstlern wie ai weiwei oder maya duren. für sein debütalbum begann er während eines trips nach japan field recordings in tunneln oder unter einer brücke in l.a aufzunehmen. zu hause setzte er sich dann hin und *made accidents happen*. mit aufnahmegeräten, samplern, gitarren und analogen synthesizern. *automaton* ist eine präzise und sanftmütige traumlandschaft, die sich mal solcher musiker wie gas, boards of canada oder auch vangelis besinnt, wie auch brian enos und jon hassels album *fourth world*. die vinyl-lp erscheint inklusive downloadcode.

when michaela meise performed at westgermany at kottbusser tor in berlin-kreuzberg on march 20, 2015, accompanying herself on the accordion, i was perplexed. i knew her first album from 2010, which was about hymns (»preis dem todesüberwinder«, originally released on clouds hill, available as a download and stream through my label from july 2018 on), but what she was playing weren’t spiritual songs?! i wanted to put this music out on my label: the songs sounded sad, aloof and wistful but also proud, determined and unerring. the album title »i am greek« is a tribute to melina mercouri’s album »je suis grecque!«, which was released in 1971 when mercouri was deprived of citizenship by the greek military junta. mercouri lived – like mikis theodorakis and many other cultural workers – in exile. meise’s album is dedicated to the chanson scene of post-war europe, whose songs were popularly folksy, but also political. some talk about the experience of war, the shoah and labor migration.
