niall mannion aka mano le tough is set to release his first record on pampa entitled ahsure. the 3 track ep sees the irish producer showcase his unique ability to combine dance floor rhythms with visceral vocal based songs. the result of which is a piece of work that will find a comfortable home in a variety of settings. while this method has become the hallmark of manos discography, ahsure feels like some of his most honest and accomplished work to date.

hot on the heals of phil kieran s first blinded by the sun album remix project which featured roman flügel and andrew weatherall remixes, hot creations return with a second remix package. mano le tough, matthew herbert and david holmes all contribute to create a set of flawless cuts and a superb second remix package.
david holmes under his unloved alias concludes the package with a cinematic remix of think too much, overflowing with emotion, it makes the perfect conclusion to a stellar release. also from belfast, holmes has been composing music for over two decades, winning his second ivor novello award in 2016.

mano le tough is set to release his second 12inch on maeve, the label he cofounded with baikal and the drifter in 2012. the label was born from the idea to release hypnotic dancefloor dedicated music, and this release certainly stays true to that. big words from the small mouth arrives on the a side of maeve 11 with quite the clatter. searing synth jams scatter over a brooding kick/sub bass combo. the sharp crisp percussion drives the track forward all the time, while various bleets, squeals and swells develop throughout giving the track a raw rave vibe. arganol on the flip is a trippy affair. touching 9 mins long, this track feels like mano le tough right from the outset, patient in its approach whilst slowly telling the listener its story. the narrative unravels through woozy melodies and melancholic cameos culminating in a burst of movement and energy perfect for the wee hours of a dancefloor.

a time machine appeared to us recently in a cloud of smoke and a giant portal of light. out of the portal a smoking piece of futuristic metal emerged and fell onto our floor. closer examination revealed it to be a time capsule sent from the future. a message from the year 2043, it contained diagrams of futuristic machines from what looks to have been the studio sessions of the recordings presented here. here is what we found, a 2 track ep (plus remixes) from artists from the future. recordings made 21 years from now but from artists who you may have already heard of today.
