2018 repress .. emotional rescue and woo once again come together, this time to reissue their masterpiece, the previously cassette-only album into the heart of love. a joyous, uplifting ode to love in all its forms, the trials and tribulations and ultimately the triumphs are all encapsulted in woo s unique soundscapes. of all the myriad of released and unreleased woo recordings, into the heart of love is without a doubt their most complete and cohesive body of work. full of woos quirky analogue dub electronics, there is also a very english sense of folk. with more vocals then their other albums, the structure and softness of mood quintessentially comes from the mother isle.

(emotional) especial are just the kind of label to jump on such deviant club fare, and on this package -love is enough- gets a variety of remixes that all embrace the groups seedy ambience. richard sen brings a muscular thrust to the track, while khidja takes a more delicate approach. luke solomon meanwhile casts his years of experience in oddball house on his steady grooving version, and then jamie paton taps into the industrial vein to finish the package off in fine style.

following strong turns from kasra v last year, this love fever spin-off label returns to call upon al kassian to drop some electro-pop enchantment on unsuspecting ears. with just one recently released record to his name, al has positively encouraged the intrigue that emanates from artificial emotion. -roboluv- is a sublime slice of house balladry shot through with a curious line in wobbly electro synths, which then really come to the fore on slower b1 jam -default-. with the heavily vocodered vocals pealing out through the mix, it s quite an arresting end result that culminates with the wonderful curio -broken embraces-.

as ajello say:the idea for a cover version of n.o.i.a.s looking for love was born a couple of years ago - an idea of alessandro piatto, younger brother of davide piatto, original member of n.o.i.a. as soon as alessandro proposed it,we asked whether we could have the original tracks but, unfortunately,they have been lost over the years.immediately his brother davide brought together the original lineup of n.o.i.a.and locked them up in the studio to record the voice from scratch and some of the synth parts. our intervention was first on the drums, replacing the original for a more uptempo beat, and then the bassline, shaping it to a more modern sound. the vocals were treated with filters and echoes,and we also added some new guitar parts and synth lines. it was an honour to us, ajello, to bring to light an italo-disco classic that has really influenced us and we have put all our efforts to create a version that is timeless, as much as the original.
