rasmus hedlund presents his third full length album on the ljudverket label. the diverse tonal range of the cuts showcase further experimentations in dub. the title ‘far’ has a deeper meaning stating some personally reached milestones and also being the word for father in hedlund’s native language swedish.

”topics” is a new album by ljudverket co-founder tuomo väänänen. it explores the styles of dub and dub techno on six tracks, which range from droning soundscapes to more rhythmic affairs which could even work on a dance floor. true to label’s ethos, the production is understated and pays attention to fine details.

as ljudverket is a heavily art-influenced label, the second release was made as a part of an sound installation for an exhibition in helsinki. rasmus hedlund & tuomo väänänens 2x12 inch album consists of 80 locked groove loops, 20 on each side. the installation itself holds 4 vinyl players, where every side of the records are represented as a sound source, from where the participators could themselves choose a random loop and thus create their own soundscapes. this is one for the collectors, and no more than 200 copies are being produced.

the 4th release from ljudverket introduces a new artist to the label, vesa-matti kivioja brings us a 7-track journey into sound on his debut vinyl lopun ajat. dark and mysterious all the way, this record follows the path of eclectic sounds with nordic flavor that ljudverket has provided so far.
