wonder why is the highlight from llorca s greatly overlooked the garden album on membran records. with its curtis mayfield inspired vocals, live strings and 70 s guitars, it has all the ingredients of a classic song. who better to ask as a remixer than hot toddy from crazy p. he raised the tempo and energy and really made it his own. on the b-side, 2 edits of the original track from fred everything, using only the original stems, working the effects and sonics as well as extending the track both in original and instrumental forms.

2 years ago, we celebrated our 10 years with 5 anniversary eps entitled 10 by ten, where we asked 10 of our favorite artists to write an exclusive track for the occasion. two of the stand out tracks were martin iveson - aka atjazz - leave me here as well as art of tones, koniokola, which we thought deserved a second life. freerange and delusions of grandeur boss, jimpster, blesses us with his deep yet driving rendition of leave me here, while fred everything chooses to update koniokola with a more dance floor approach and a strip down dub. we also included the original of leave me here which was never available on vinyl.

ever reliable canadian producer fred everything makes his first appearance of 2017 with a selection of choice remixes of house classics for the lazy days label. on the a-side he s taking to crazy p s -like a fool- a vocal and dub version and laying down a slick, bubbling groover that fits perfectly with the original s warm, disco-infused elements. on the flip, he takes on roach motel s -the night- and makes it into a shimmering nocturnal cut peppered with impeccable synth lines and a sleazy vocal turn. by way of variety the final track sees fred create a laid back balearic, auto-tuned version of franky selector s -wind swept dune-.

ludovic llorca aka art of tones is a composer who spent his youth in the north of france, learning music-making with computers (commodore 64 and amiga). after releasing a couple of techno/house 12 inches on small labels, he signed an artist contract (using his family name as a moniker) with french label f-communications on 1997, releasing three eps, followed by a lp (newcomer) on 2001. the albums huge success (more than 170.000 copies sold) leads him to stages around the world, touring for more than 3 years with musicians and singers, performing live in famous festivals (montreux, nice, vienne, den haag, les vieilles charrues) and in prestigious venues.

here we are with the last chapter of kruse & nuernbergs excellent debut album *lets call it a day*. released last fall on lazy days, the album was cherished by the press and topped the digital sales charts of various genres from deep house to nu disco and chill out. remixers so far came in from such great talents as spirit catcher, shur-i-kan and nathan g, this time it is up to mario basanov, wolf + lamb and fred everything.

atjazz & fred everything are back together again. their last collaboration dates 2010 on lazy days but the pair have been friends since the late 90s and have collaborated and remixed each other countless times. the beast and the ghost explores the deeper, dubber side of their production. the project was started in derby and finished in san francisco, while atjazz worked on his inside dub from home. this will be featured on the upcoming lazy dubs compilation, out in january.

this is the last teaser before the release of the kruse & nuernberg album >lets call it a day<, featuring, yet again, the beautiful vocals of stee downes. on remix duties, we have lazy days regular shur-i-kan with two completely different flavors. his 80s vocal mix is a beautiful update of the original, speeding up the tempo for peak time play, while his 90s dub is a straight up stripped down classic house re-work. first time on the label, we welcome nathan g with another fine remix that can be played at just about any time of the night. lastly, we have the original in all its beauty, at its slower original tempo.

for the first release of 2012, old friends of lazy days, lawnchair generals make a rare appearance on the label with their new single >dont stop<. the duo made of peter christianson and carlos mendoza were featured separately on the feel ep last year. this song was written for their exclusive live performance at the decibel festival in seattle last year. this classic lcg tracks also comes with a superb dub for the late nights.

nice price deal !!! bran van 300 is a musical circus orchestrated by james di salvio. known for there 1998 hit >drinking in la<, this unconventional collective is based out of montreal but also la, and even mexico. this is taken from their most recent album >the garden<, and features the vocals of freddie james, a child star of the disco days in montreal famous for his 1979 hit >everybody, get up & boogie<. fast forward 30 years and we have this amazing collaboration between bran van and freddie that we just had to get our hands on!

earlier this year they got together at martins studio in derby to create this classic deep house number. the parts were then taken to their respective studios to create their own versions. freds mix has a more straight forward vibe to it while martin takes things to the deep end, adding dub elements to the mix.

from two of the most recognisable names in the world of deep house, -back together- marks the long friendship and musical collaboration between martin iveson and frédéric blais. having met through the diy circles in the late 90s in nottingham, martin & fred have remain best friends since. martin collaborated on freds first album, -under the sun- (released on 20:20 vision in 2000) on the tracks -derby- and -let you down-. his recent remix of freds track -mercyless- on om became a staple with deep house djs worldwide. fred has remixed tracks for atjazzs now defunct label mantis (kimbu kimra-s -raise the dead- and atjazz-s -its complete-) as well as a recent remix for atjazz feat. clyde -i forgot you-
