forging a distinctive sound in todays crowded techno landscape is no easy task. madrid based mario campos aka kwartz has grown his robust, propulsive sound into one of the most interesting and vital strains of modern techno. after notable releases for mord, warm up, pole recordings, and his own label �order & devotion�, we are excited to present a 6 track kwartz offering for horo.
purists will have their desires satiated with the driving, undulating title track and dancefloor favourite �altered states of consciousness� while the rest of the ep sees mario take his style into exploration mode. �beyond belief� functions as an emotive centre point to the releases� varied moods, while the off kilter static of �over a sign recognition� and the writhing bounce of �recoil� and �frame dislocation� complete the carefully sculpted form of the release.
�body sedation� works in a listening environment as well as it does on an open minded dance floor, and we can confidently say, it�s built to last.

after releasing in labels such as offworldcolonies, undveld brings to order&devotion an obscure journey through far landscapes. the beginning of the trip starts with two cuts starred by hypnotic beats, tense pads and abstract synths. following this, on the b side you�ll find a strong remix by label�s honcho kwartz, adding heavy industrialized elements to the lithuanian artist work. the journey ends with an ambient excerpt.

knarziger kwartz techno

hertz collision takes over the third release on kwartz�s label order&devotion. the italian duo, whom have released on labels such as frozen border, deliver a moderated charming trip leaded by melodies. on the b side the label honcho and polegroup affiliated, kwartz, assumes the remix duties. adding some electric sounds and increasing the intensity delivered by the original. undoubtedly this two tracker shapes even more the already reputable sound signature of the imprint, with a prospect to the future.

with the seventh vinyl release evod music welcomes kwartz, well-knowed spanish producer who released on label like pole group and mord. the release is splitted with evod, two tracks for side. the two tracks by kwartz are noisy, warm, with turbulent grooves, both tunes are overwhelming, with twists of low frequencies sequences and brilliant noises/rhythmics. evod s tracks are a true compromise between old school and modern sonorities, thanks to the raw/analog warm accompanied by abstract and synthetic sounds.

2 techno dancefloor catcher for the italian label limited focus + 2 restless straight forward remixes by kwartz and samuli kemppi.

this is the first solo work by kwartz released by the warm up imprint. the young spanish talent displays all his production skills in this release that opens with the compact kick drums and arpeggiated madness of *rite*, spiced with sweeps and drones that interweave with the hypnotic arrangement. in his first rework, oscar mulero reduces the bass drum punch, twists the arpeggiated synth line with reverb and early reflections, and adds an overall guerrilla feel to the sound.
