multi-talent joyce muniz is definitely one to look out for. initially starting her career as a vocalist, she now took over the global house music scene within no time as a deejay and producer as well. exhibiting her talent with previous releases, its not surprising that shes on the roster of prestigous labels such as exploited records and 20/20 vision recordings. next year she will release her single toxic people on international deejay gigolo records featuring the singer, songwriter and producer demetr1us. toxic people is a vibrant and raw sounding electro house cut featuring grimy synths and vocals, that lend the track a cold and distant atmosphere. the artwork for toxic people was created by leipzig-based artist silvia trost, whose forth lies in oil and acrylic paintings. she now frequently collaborates with glitch art artists and loves to mix materials and techniques, both analogue and digital. the b-side dreamz is another great production by joyce muniz. the playful groove and eclectic ambient makes it a cool package.

inspired by the success of last summers retrospective on poker flat, steve bug takes up his traffic signs moniker once more for a fabulous jam that more than merits the 10-year wait. the uncredited tunes that first came out under this name were classic jack tracks that devastated dancefloors - and cookie jar is a more than worthy successor. this is stripped-down house, chicago-esque, direct and determined to make you move. berlin legend jake the rapper adds downright dirty humour with a spoken vocal fit for an age of internet sextapes and celebrity photo hacking.

it was fitting that brazilian-born, austria-based artist joyce muniz broke through in an era characterised by the cross-pollination and globalisation of music. initially combining the sounds and rhythms of her home country with contemporary european electronic sounds, she later morphed into a house / techno producer of the highest calibre. along the way she worked with the likes of maya jane coles and viennese legends kruder & dorfmeister and released on influential imprints like 2020 vision and shir khanÕs exploited. itÕs the latter which has been her main platform for releasing music since 2011 and where she now unleashes her full-length debut album, made in vienna.

guede remixes is a remix compilation of dj hell taken from his 5th studio album zukunftsmusik. the release features two remixes by joyce muniz and one by paul nazca. guede’s soundscape is acidic yet minimal, with its distorted vocals and raucous instrumentation lending the track an eerie and at times ethereal vibe. each artist brings a uniquely different perspective on the sound of the original cut, whilst never completely abandoning the track’s core identity. paul nazca infuses it with trance, joyce muniz keeps the acid and adds the deep.
