m.a.m.i. & matthias hoffmann - shut up is the first vinyl release on 4m recordings. the original track embodies everything the label stands for: driving tunes, with groove bass lines and dark synths. straight bouncing minimal tech remixes are delivered straight from mexico and france as well as some pumpin techno and tech house version for some floor action.

*it all started in 1974 with the purchase of my first mini moog and another 70s dream machine, a white mellotron m 400.* so starts klaus hoffmann of his 40 years love affair with the mellotron. moving from prog-rock guitarist to cosmic disco warrior in a space of a few years, the birth of cosmic hoffmann would lead to a number of classic kosmiche albums through-out the 1980s. before this though came space-disco. initially recorded in 1978 after endless late night sessions exploring the new realms of this free form electronic music, the first incarnation was recorded live to tape for a failed film project. an uplifting spaced-out synth journey, it was the later reworked version that would go on to become the lost cult classic. with added disco syncopation taking the track into interstellar spheres, it appeared only as a flipside of cosmic hoffmanns first and last single, *weltraumboogie*, in 1982. unfortunately the release did not make much impression at the time but has become highly sought-after for the more leftfield dj and music lovers in the years since. now fully licensed and remastered, the inclusion of the unreleased 1978 original will be only add to the collectors dream.

it is neither a new computer game, nor a novelist - but most certainly the tightest live formation that jazz & milk has to offer to date! gta hoffmann sips out of your ear, sways your hips and bypasses the vessels of your awareness, 120 times per minute. three musicians, experienced in diverse and manifold musical areas, play their own and unique creation of live dance music. beni brachtel, aka bartellow (guitar), lukas rabe (keys) and gabriel hahn (drums) operate their instruments as armatures of turning knobs, sliders and effect pedals and pave their way through earthy rnb grooves, wooden house and analogue elevator-minimalism. as improvisers and composers they love to play with shapes, moods and all types of sounds. the result is pure energy, which inspires deep listening, immersion and dancing. what appears to be an artificially produced electronica record is in fact the live sound of a trio, which levitates through space and time - far away from any musical categorization - while sonically complementing and reorganizing earthly pulse.

the verwunschen ep got influenced by many deep house music, tech house, but also by electronic underground music, which was not made for the club. a mixture of this and organic instruments, which are typical for his music, made the music warm and melancholic, but the cutted vocals brought a little clubby atmosphere in the track. in the bonus track >bosporus< you hear the influence of berlin tech house music. trumpets were very popular at that time in berlin. the track was only made for the club. remixes from marlon hoffstadt and matthias kick were organised, who did their own interpretation and showed some other sides of the song.

here comes the second blind spot music vinyl with some of our favourite techno artists on the board. the original track scattered produced by the japanese ryuji takeuchi and it is a proper peak time smasher. ryuji after a few remixes is finally landing with an original track on blind spot music. in the past techno fans have heared his unique style on various releases on label likes of nachtstrom schallplatten, sick weird rough, huehelix or his own imprint local sound network.
on the remix duties are: mallorcas techno ambassador angel costa, who has released on some of the most prestigious labels of the techno scene such as clr, electric deluxe, micro.fon. the german michael schwarz, whose unique driving-techno materials came out on driving forces, wall music, praxxiz and at last but not least blind spots very own dr hoffmann & gabeen. the duo is infecting the techno scene slowly with their lethal sounds.
the scattered ep is not for the faint-hearted, serious underground techno beats on it.

blind spot music has continuously delivered the techno goods for over the last 3 years on the digital front. finally it releases its first physical release in the way of vinyl!
