sophia nzayisenga is the first female master of the inanga

born in redlands, california in 1980, marquis howell grew up in a lovely way. raised to appreciate hand-me-downs, secondhand goods & older influences, he started imitating chuck berry riffs on air guitar in elementary school to impress the girls. having little to no luck with the invisible instrument & with many promises & persuasions, his parents bought him his first guitar. marquis took lessons at the local guitar shop and as often as possible he would practice 4 or more hours a day.

always surprising us with their a&r skills, hot creations are back with another outstanding release, this time from rising star greg pidock, who is soon to release his debut album on the label. blame game is fresh and beautifully crafted with deep vocals and warm melodies, building effortlessly into sonic bliss. on remix duty, minus favourite hobo picks up the pace to deliver two on point reworks aimed steadily at the dance floor.

generator by rodion incorporates hippie dance grooves, middle eastern vibes, simon & garfunkel-esque vocals, lisergic synth licks, and future kraut atmospheres. tracks like bococa hills and phobos berl have a rolling cosmic groove, whilst allee der kosmonauten and run-out head for the dance floor. colazione and riposa! have a more icy ambient feel, whilst alta marea and gamma make good use of rodion’s supreme collection of analogue hardware, producing a pair of synth drive grooves.
